Wish.......

Today's card has been inspired by One Layer Simplicity
As You Wish...
I had never heard of The Film..
In the classic movie The Princess Bride, the hero Wesley
responds to every request from his love interest Buttercup with the phrase,
"As you wish."

Seriously. It's one layer of card stock: AS YOU WISH!

And if you could tie it into a theme or line from The Princess Bride
well, we'll be impressed! But that's not necessary

I have been thinking about this all month...and I have done loads of research
and and I would like to use this photo as my inspiration....
I have focused in on the castle. The sentiment Wish and the wispy colours...
This is my card
I started by masking off a horizontal area and then cutting out a Wish die cut
and layering it down on my CS.
I then stamped the castle and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
I sprayed a couple of  Lindy sprays and removed the die cut Wish...
A first for me to try this technique...
I ironed the castle with paper to remove the clear embossing powder..again a first for me...
I masked off the horizontal layer and stamped the castle with pink Lindy powders.
After removing the masking tape I enhanced areas with pinks and purples with the powders.
The cloud has absolutely no reason to be there...accept.... right at the last minute
I got a stain on my card!!  I have used a stencil and white embossing paste.
After all the work there was no way I was going to start again!
I loved the challenge...The research ... and trying lots of new things for me and being artsy x

Challenges I would like to enter....

This is cute! I really like the cloud, so maybe that was a happy accident. The castle is a great image for the wish theme. Great job!

What a GREAT SAVE!!! You're right. After all that work and the beautiful results, you couldn't let a stain ruin it. Brilliant! And your placement of the cloud relates it to the castle so well...it doesn't look stuck on as an afterthought. Brilliant all the way around. Thanks so much for sharing this with the OLS!
