CAS Bouquet

Two very dear blog friends have had their milestones birthday this month....
Bonnie and Darnell .....Which I am sure need no introduction x.
CAS Watercolour have had a celebration this month of their 'Special' Birthdays.
This is my card for the two very special ladies............
The theme is Bouquet.
This bouquet stamp is a very old unused stamp, which comes in two sizes....This is the smaller one.
The background is water coloured in several different shades of pink Lindy Magicals.
The shimmer from the magicals look so pretty.
The bouquet has been stamped and then using bleach to lift the colours.
I have used pencils to colour the bouquet and leaves.
I wanted to end by saying that I am in awe of you CAS perfectionist out there.
This card was incredibly hard for me....
My heart is in techniques but that doesn't mean I can't do CAS but CAS properly,
well that is a different thing.....
I found it incredibly hard to contain my design and also hard to colour etc....
What surprised me was that I loved this card......And I hope you do too? x
It took me two weeks to do and for my friendly and special blog friends it was sure worth it x

CAS Mix Up July reminder post

Time for a reminder for the CAS Mix Up Challenge this month, which is Alcohol Ink Lift....
Michelle from seashellcreates is our very talented guest designer this month
and Bonnie is hosting this fun challenge.........

It's Bonnie's birthday on the 16th July so I made my Birthday card for you Bonnie
and sending Scottish Thistle Flowers to you.....Enjoy your day my friend x.
Alcohol ink lift pad, Alcohol Inks, Die cutting and Stamping on my card.
I started by using Yupo and various colours of alcohol inks and rubbing alcohol to mix the colours.
When this was dry I used the Ranger alcohol lift-ink pad to do the lift technique.
Using my misti and my inked thistle stamp I lifted the alcohol ink off the Yupo
and stamped it onto regular card stock.
I was hoping to use the Yupo paper for another card but it didn't look good
so I die cut a thistle from it and popped it onto my card.
Completing the card with the white die cut frame and stamping the birthday sentiment.
The lift technique can be done in numerous different ways and without the lift pad,
if you do not have one........
For further inspiration and ideas pop over to the blog for video links

I am looking forward to seeing your creativity in the gallery.

CAS Mix Up July Challenge

The fun challenge this month at The CAS Mix Up Challenge is
 The Alcohol Ink Lift Technique.
If this is new to you or you need further inspiration and video links then pop across to the blog.
We are lucky to have the talented Michelle W
from Seashell Creations as our guest designer this month.

This is My Card.......

Alcohol Ink Lift Technique, UTEE, Modelling Clay and Stamping.
I used several shades of Alcohol Ink... Blues and greens with blending solution on Yupo Paper.
Once this was dry I stamped a Hero Art wave stamp using the alchol ink pad
to lift the ink off onto the stamp.
I then stamped this onto regular card stock, which you can see on the left of the card.

The little square has been done with embossing powders, stamping and clear UTEE,
which I cracked when it was cool.
I made the little seashell with modelling clay, a mould and painted it with metallic acrylic paints.
Finishing off with the stamped sentiment in blue archival ink.
Such a fun technique and thank you Bonnie, our wonderful host this month for introducing it to me...
There are many ways to do the alcohol ink lifting technique....enjoy!
I am so looking forward to being inspired by your fabulous creations in the gallery this month...
I am super thrilled to be published in The Craft Stamper this month.
Hitting the shops Friday 5th July....
I'll pop my project on the blog as soon as I can....

Challenges I would love to enter.....
Stamping Sensations are asking for colourful cards this month and I love the shades of the ocean and there is plenty of stamping on this card
