Merry Christmas.....

I thought I would share a Christmas Card with you Today.........
I started by using Bistre Noir powder on gloss card, starch and the wrap technique.
I wish I had taken a photo of the card before cutting it up, as the effect of using just
the one colour of powders produced just a unique effect.
The die cut flower has been cut and layered many times.
I also die cut lots of the foliage part of the flower die and snipped away...
Popping on Perfect Pearls and glitter gel onto some of the leaves.
The texture on the background has been done with a stencil and embossing paste
and a little glitter paste in places.
Finishing off with the layered die cut Merry sentiment
and stamping and heat embossing the Christmas sentiment.

Thank you all so much for finding time to stop by my blog
and always leaving such kind, generous and encouraging comments.
I always appreciate each and every one of them x
It's a busy time of the year for us all and I didn't want to miss the opportunity
of letting you all know how much I value your blog friendship x.

Wherever you are this Christmas and whoever you are with
I wish you Peace, Happiness and Health x

CAS Mix Up December Challenge

The theme for December is Emboss Resist....

Lots of scope for this fun technique.

The challenge is hosted by the wonderful Loll.
For more information and video links please pop over to the CAS Mix Up Blog.....

Please Note .....

The challenge will run  until December 15th to provide two weeks off for the Design Team......
Winning post will be on December 18th.....Thank you x

Here is my card.....

I have used Stamping, the resist Emboss Technique and my choice is Water colouring and die cutting.
I started by stamping the seahorse, using distress markers and the Misti quite a few times.
Once it was dry I stamped it with Versafine and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
I touched it up with a Versafine pen to preserve the white parts of the seahorse and heated it again.
I then had fun with Lindy powders and water and blowing through a straw.
I was quite light headed when I finished!
I do have a puffer but I wanted a little more control over the splats....
The bubbles have been die cut and some white Frantage to finish.

The technique worked really well with this intricate stamp,
as it gave me a really good emboss resist.
It allowed me to use lots of water and  no leakage into the stamped and coloured seahorse
and it preserved the white inside the seahorse.

Pop across to the CAS Mix Up blog for fabulous inspiration from my team mates
and BozenA (Artbox) our very talented guest designer.
Say Hello too to the amazing Hideko (Papercraft Boutique),
who is joining the team this month........
Have fun with the challenge and I am looking forward to seeing your
wonderful creations in the gallery.
