Merry Christmas.....

I thought I would share a Christmas Card with you Today.........
I started by using Bistre Noir powder on gloss card, starch and the wrap technique.
I wish I had taken a photo of the card before cutting it up, as the effect of using just
the one colour of powders produced just a unique effect.
The die cut flower has been cut and layered many times.
I also die cut lots of the foliage part of the flower die and snipped away...
Popping on Perfect Pearls and glitter gel onto some of the leaves.
The texture on the background has been done with a stencil and embossing paste
and a little glitter paste in places.
Finishing off with the layered die cut Merry sentiment
and stamping and heat embossing the Christmas sentiment.

Thank you all so much for finding time to stop by my blog
and always leaving such kind, generous and encouraging comments.
I always appreciate each and every one of them x
It's a busy time of the year for us all and I didn't want to miss the opportunity
of letting you all know how much I value your blog friendship x.

Wherever you are this Christmas and whoever you are with
I wish you Peace, Happiness and Health x

Challenges I would love to enter.......

Take It Make It Challenge - Anything goes but must include stamping.
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything goes and going with the option of Christmas

Stamplorations Mixed Media Challenge - Which now includes cards and must include a stencil

Your cards are always quite stunning. I really like the patterns in the bister technique you did. It looks sort of like marble to me. The stenciled background is very soft but has great texture. Lovely card!

Another stunner Mac! The bistre colours look wonderful. I tried to get hold of some of those quite some time ago and found infusions instead. Tyranny of distance is so frustrating sometimes lol! Such a beautiful artsy card, Cathy x

I have this die - and what a job I had getting it too! In the end had to get a friend to have one of her relatives buy it in the States and post it to me...at a fraction of the postage costs the company wanted.
I was accosting the postman for days when she said she'd sent it. It arrived in time for me to make several cards but NONE are as amazing as this.
And as for Bistre Noir powder.... no idea where I might get that from here ------ but I sure am going to look!

I love what you have done with it Mac - it's just a simply stunning Christmas card. x

I know I am REALLY late commenting here M but it has given me an excuse to look at your card in my inbox regularly. The shimmery background is beautiful but I am mesmerized by the beauty and textures of that floral arrangement.
PS If you still have this card it would look good hanging up at my house this year.
