Time for a reminder for the CAS Mix Up Challenge this month, which is Alcohol Ink Lift....
Michelle from seashellcreates is our very talented guest designer this month
and Bonnie is hosting this fun challenge.........
It's Bonnie's birthday on the 16th July so I made my Birthday card for you Bonnie
and sending Scottish Thistle Flowers to you.....Enjoy your day my friend x.
Alcohol ink lift pad, Alcohol Inks, Die cutting and Stamping on my card.
I started by using Yupo and various colours of alcohol inks and rubbing alcohol to mix the colours.
When this was dry I used the Ranger alcohol lift-ink pad to do the lift technique.
Using my misti and my inked thistle stamp I lifted the alcohol ink off the Yupo
and stamped it onto regular card stock.
I was hoping to use the Yupo paper for another card but it didn't look good
so I die cut a thistle from it and popped it onto my card.
Completing the card with the white die cut frame and stamping the birthday sentiment.
The lift technique can be done in numerous different ways and without the lift pad,
if you do not have one........
For further inspiration and ideas pop over to the blog for video links
and fabulous creations from the design team.
I am looking forward to seeing your creativity in the gallery.

Your alcohol ink lifted flowers are beautiful - the technique worked perfect! And I love the way you die cut one from the original AI Yupo piece and added it with the little "happy" frame on side side. A fabulous card and I'm sure Bonnie loved it!
The thistle flowers are so pretty in lovely color! Love all the white and the sweet frame, too! A wonderful birthday card!!

WOW!, beautifully designed, beautiful colours and a fab technique. I may try one day LOL. Love the both frames and the die cut flower, all adding to so much interest in this wonderful card.

Mac, Such a pretty alcohol lift card! Love the purple yupo thistle against the more subtle "lift" background. Thanks for sharing your card with us this week at Watercooler Wednesday.
Wow! Mac, how sweet and pretty! I love the techniques for color, but more, I like the two ways you've incorporated squares, and looped the one thistle in and out of the square frame. FABULOUSLY HAPPY, and beautiful of course! hugs, de
One of these days I'm going to open my lift pad--haha! I do love your card, Mac! The lifted thistles are beautiful & great idea to die cut one from the panel!
Your alcohol ink lifted flowers are gorgeous. I love the color of them and the frames.
Beautiful design, Mac, I love the colours. xx
Gorgeous card for Bonnie! This is a fun technique and works great with the thistles!
I LOVE these thistles, Mac! And that little happy birthday frame with the pretty die cut thistle threaded through is beautiful! Thank you so much for the beautiful birthday wishes! Once again you have inspired me, my friend!
Soft and delightful, this card is full of Happy! ...birthday! Beautiful combo of the two techniques, truly Clean and Simple. Love this xx
Such a pretty card. I like the way you added the sentiment die over top of the die cut.
Ros, those Lavinia thistles look amazing in the pinks are purples, great idea using the yupo for the die cut :)
Mac this is stunning the colours are just beautiful...love the fussy cutting hence why I have a scan and cut, makes it so much easier.xx
Beautiful birthday card for Bonnie, Mac! Love the pretty colours of purple and pink. Your thistles are gorgeous and I love the deep colours of the die-cut thistle on the right with frame. xx
Beautiful card Mac, I love those colours. I use a lot of my alcohol ink pieces for diecuts! Thanks for sharing with us at Watercooler Wednesday.
What a beauty, Mac ... a fabulous field of lifted Scottish thistles ... that single one is a stunner woven into the sentiment panel! Bonnie will be so delighted! Hugs, Anita :)
What an exquisite card Mac - love that you were still able to use the initial piece of inked yupo.
Blessings
Maxine
Lovely card and I was in a nature reserve at the weekend and took a photo of some tall thistles that looked this shape. So beautiful on your card and in real life. I'm on a stash diet at the moment but feel tempted to go look for those Lavinia stamps.
gorgeous and elegant card mf...I always feel inspired when I visit you!

Absolutely gorgeous and purple is my favourite colour x
What a lovely card for Bonnie's birthday, Mac. The pinks and purples have melded to such a lovely lavender shade. I love that you added the die cut flower and that happy frame is so pretty and delicate.
This card is stunning in it's simplicity. I really love that die and the colours are gorgeous. Happy creative week. Angela xXx
More wonderful ink lifting and stamping Mac using these pretty thistles, and finished beautifully with the die cut thistle and a great sentiment frame over and around it. x
Beautiful card! I am so intrigued by this technique but have not tried it as of yet!
Ooh fabulous card! I must try this technique - I recently bought alcohol lift ink but haven't tried it yet. xxx
Wow another fabulous card here Mac and another technique too, love it ;) Viv xx
What a fabulous design and so pretty, especially with the thistle! Bonnie will love it!
Beautiful.....and a lovely colour too x
A beautiful card and I’m sure Bonnie loved it. Perfect lifting without a lift pad. So creative to add the AI die-cut. . xx
What a beautiful card Maxine. I do love your thistles! I haven't tried this technique or ink but want too try lifting some alcohol ink. I love the way everyone's projects are turning out. Hugs, Brenda

Stunning! And in my favourite purple too! Love the delicate feel and use of the focal die cut, just brilliant! Thanks for playing at AAA Birthday, please come back and join in with future challenges too.
beautiful!!!
Beautiful thistles and I do Loire the way you have shown off the die cut image. Perfection.!. I have several different thistles in bloom in my garden at pesent ranging in colour from light lavender to deep purple. They are very tall this year too. Hugs Mrs A.
As usual this is a really gorgeous card with fantastic little details. I love how the lift and then stamping has worked, I bet it wouldn't work if I tried it! The detail with the die cut thistle and the happy frame is just lovely. Like the colours too xx
Mac, what a lovely birthday card for Bonnie! I’m sure she loved the card.
The color combo (pink and purple) is my favorite and the Scottish Thistle flowers stamped with the lifted ink are so soft and pretty. The die-cut AI flower echoes the main image and makes a wonderful accent. And I love the great design with two squares layered.
Hideko xx
Great card and I love how you used the alcohol ink and die cut it. The colors are so pretty. Thanks for playing along with us over at The Flower Challenge!
This is a lovely lift card. You really got beautiful deep colors on your original piece. That made for gorgeous lift color. Very pretty thistle from the darker color.
WOW! An amazing card. I love the stamping technique with AI removed. Patterns created by AI are always so unpredictable, so prints are always amazing. Your Khaber AR looks beautiful in purple, and the AR frame perfectly complements your design.
Hugs,
BożenA
This is just gorgeous! You always elevate techniques one step further!
That thistle stamp is just lovely - and it works beautifully in the mottled lilacs and mauves of your lifted ink. So clever to change your planned direction and use the original inky card for the die-cut too - really effective.
