Just Us Girls Wild Card Week

It is Wild Card week over at Just Us Girls
and this week it is..... to make a Tri-Fold Card.
For my last guest designer week I have made this card.....

I have never made a Tri-Fold card before, so again this was a challenge for me.
Die cutting, stamping and heat embossing, with a little fussy cutting to make this card.
I had fun playing with alcohol inks to infill some of the die cuts
and to use as strips of 'paper' for the folds.

Really hard to photograph with the shine from the gold mirror card
and the alcohol inks.....
I thought the tones of the inks reflected the art Deco look of the card.

I would like to thank the friendly, inspirational and creative JUGS 'team'
for inviting me to guest with you this month.......What an honour it's been.

These are the other four cards that I made this month, whilst guesting.
It normally takes me a week to think of a card let alone execute it.
So guesting was very much a personal challenge for me x.
Challenges I would love to enter......
Tic Tac Toe Challenge - I have gone with the centre, vertically....

Loads of Leaves

Two cards today using lots of die cut leaves.
This is my first card ......

I die cut lots of leaves and stacked them up onto watercolour card.
They where liberally sprayed with Lindy's Flat sidewalk white chalk spray.
I was looking for a plaster/chalky effect, which doesn't really show up in the photo.....
This is my second card.......

The die cut distressed frame and leaf have several layers
of heated copper embossing powder on them.
The Navy cardstock is an embossing Leaf folder, edged with copper.
A little heart with glossy accents and a sentiment strip to finish.

Twofers is asking for leaves this challenge so I am popping my cards over....
Two very different designs for two different occasions, using the same leaf die.....

Spring Has Returned

CAS Mix Up has another fun challenge this month.
It's a new to me technique.
It is a great way to extend your die cuts even further.....
This is my card........

After die cutting the flower I scribbled on several colours with my zigs
and sprayed liberally with water,
I flipped it over onto watercolour card
and pressed it down three times to get the graduated look.

I used the original die cut and three more on the card.
Finishing with the stamped sentiment, splats
and heat embossing silver on the lower edge.
Thank you Bonnie, for this fun challenge.

CAS Mix up is also celebrating their 5th Birthday.
Thank you for all the amazing inspiration,
your friendly and encouraging comments
and all the techniques that I have learned and really enjoyed.

CAS Mix Up August Reminder Post

Time for the reminder post for the CAS Mix Up Challenge,

which is Stencil Monoprinting....

Hosted by the talented and very creative Nancy.......

Fabulous inspiration awaits you in the gallery and
from the wonderful design team.
Our talented guest designer this month is Cathy from Cathy's Card Spot.
If you've time, pop across and take a look.....

This is my card......

I have used stencil Monoprinting, stamping and my choice is heat embossing and doodling.
I popped on two shades of Lindy pink magical powders onto the stencil and sprayed with water.
I then quickly flipped it over onto the watercolour card and pressed it down.....
Letting the powders do their magic.

After it had all dried I stamped and heat embossed one of the butterflies in white.
Then doodled in black and white inks around the butterflies
Finishing with stamping and heat embossing the sentiment and the edge on the left in black.
I decanted some of the blue Lindy spray into a water colour brush
and lightly water coloured the background.

This is such a fun and unique technique often producing artsy backgrounds.
I am looking forward to seeing your creations in the gallery.
Thank you so much for stopping by....

Wonderful You....

I have been having fun with a stencil and Lindy Powders.....
This is my card.....
I sprinkled Lindy magicals over the stencil and lightly sprayed with water,
popping off the stencil quickly to avoid seepage....
When it was dry I popped the stencil back on and blended the stems in green ink.
I tried several times to use the powders for the stems but the seepage was horrendous!
I finished off with die cutting the sentiment, the squares and the flower bud.
AAA Card challenge and Uniko are friendship which helped me choose the sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by.

Challenges I would love to enter.....
Uniko - It's so much more friendly with two and I have gone with the 'Friend' theme ...

CAS Mix Up July Reminder Post

Time for the reminder post for the CAS Mix Up Challenge

Fabulous inspiration in the gallery......
Such creative cards from the wonderful design team
and our guest designer Susan from The catsinkcorporated.
Pop across and take a look.....

This is my card......

I have coloured my die cuts with lots of different colours of Lindy Magicals and water.
I have stamped the sentiments and my choice is free hand drawing and water colouring.
You can see the shimmer of the Lindy Magicals in this picture.
I love how you get unpredictable colours.
Even though the die cuts are small I kept going until I got an artsy and wild looking effect.
The stems have been drawn in with a dipping pen and distress stains.
The sentiments have been stamped with the help of the Misti.
I die cut the poppies and then snipped the heads to use as I wanted
and individually coloured the small die cuts.

I have a designer paper that gave me the inspiration for the layout of my card,
as of course I am never going to cut it up x.

Thank you for stopping by
and I am looking forward to seeing your fabulous creations in the gallery.
