Guest Designer For CAS Mix Up

What a thrill it was to win the CAS Mix Up Challenge with this card....
I am equally thrilled to be the guest designer this month
and the challenge this month is Bleaching.........

This is my card.....

I have stamped and used bleaching and my choice is stencilling and splats.
After blending a few Distress Inks I stamped the image
and then used bleach to take off the colour.
This then gives you a blank canvas to leave it as it is or colour it in with your chosen media.
I used watercolours to colour the flowers and leaving the numbers bleached out.
Finishing off with some stencilling and splats.
You will find fabulous inspiration over on the CAS Mix Up blog
from the amazing and very creative design team.......
Thank you so much for asking me to guest with you this month x.

Stay safe and well.
Challenges I would love to enter.....

Congratulations, Mac, on your GDT gig! I follow the CAS Mix Up via email. As soon as I saw the card, I knew it was yours without seeing any name! Beautifully done, Mac! When you stamped your pretty flowers, did you heat emboss? I only wondered because the image looks a little shiny, and I use embossing powder when bleaching images. The background technique is AMAZING! truly! The white numbers are especially pretty in contrast to the background colors. LOVE IT! hugs, de

The color blending is beautiful and the colors are gorgeous. The bleaching left just that soft color and it is lovely. I have a bit of a lung issue and can't breathe in the bleach fumes, so I will be watching all the great cards made from afar.

Congratulations for your win and your GDT, Mac. You deserve it, my friend, as your creations are always beautiful. This card is GORGEOUS! I love the background and the popping numbers. I had not thought that I could use bleach to take off the colour of an image. I use bleach only for splashes. Thank you for the inspiration, my dear friend. Kisses!!! And please stay safe.

Love how you bleached the color off your flowers and numbers and then watercolored the flowers and left the numbers white. Adding stenciling to the blended background adds so much depth and interest too. TFS your beauty and Congratulations on being chosen this months Guest Designer. Hugs and stay safe, my friend.

Amaizng card Mac!! LOVE the colours you've used, so vibrant! Beautiful stamped image and wonderfully watercoloured after bleaching. I love both looks with leaving the bleached image plain, and with colouring. But my favourite is definitely your finished card with the saturated deep blue flowers. Gorgeous! Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer this month! xx

Big congrats on your win and your guest designer gig. This card is another phenomenal piece of CAS genius. I've never tried bleaching my inks away, but it works so well with this lovely stamp. I really like the deep blue shading of the petals against the vivid greens, and then the ghostly white numbers. Lovely!
