Guest Designer for CAS Stencil...

I am thrilled to be guesting at The CAS Stencil Challenge this month,
after winning February's challenge with this card.......
I have been so lucky this month with guesting and it is has been huge honour.

The Challenge is Gilding Flakes and this is my card......

I used die cuts as my stencils and layered up silver gilding flakes to get more texture.
I also used vellum on the top layer
and stamped onto cardstock underneath, in a few shades of grey.
It was a little tricky using vellum and the glue and it not laying flat
but once you've an idea in your head you have to see it through......
Finishing off with heat embossing the sentiment
and hi-lighting the tiny thistles heads, from the stamping under the vellum, with the flakes.

You will find amazing inspiration over on The CAS Stencil Card Challenge
from the friendly and talented design team.
Stay safe and well
Challenges I would love to enter....
Watercooler Wednesday - Marsha's Anything goes with a feminine twist challenge
Craft Stamper Take It Make It Challenge - Anything Goes challenge
Stamplorations - Stencil Challenge Anything goes

I can imagine it was very tricky to perfect this but it has worked a treat. Another fabulous card from you. I love that shadowy effect, in fact it reminds me of my morning walk this morning as it was very misty with the sun trying and failing to come out. xx

Well, Mac, despite the vellum 'issues' I think your vision was a great success! The silver on the vellum layered over the darker stamping created a beautiful look! xx

You're busy guest designing this month, Mac! :-) Many many congratulations!
Gluing Gilding Flakes on vellum sounds very difficult, and yet you did it so beautifully. The silhouette behind the vellum looks ethereal and I love the fleeting feel to it. Highlighting the thistles heads is a really wonderful touch.

You certainly are having a busy month, my friend! Congratulations! Love the silvery flowers! I'm not sure about using gilding flakes through a stencil. I'll have to give it a try! Love the way the vellum gives a misty look to the flowers in the background! Wonderful contrast!

This took my breath away when I saw it, which is why I wanted to build up to it, catching up with what I'd missed in the right order for once. That vellum layer creates unbelievable depth - I feel as thought the meadow flowers are stretching away to infinity in those soft shades of grey (glorious stamping behind the vellum). And the textural silver stems in the foreground are amazing. What a fantastic guest creation ... you are having a busy month, aren't you?!

Well isn't this yummy. I love the smokey allure to this jewel and the use of homemade stencils. Looks like fine china, truly. Congrats x 2 xx

Funny how we have both used gilding flakes through a stencil recently. Simply stunning flaky flowers on vellum - no doubt very tricky. Then you go and add beauty to the background. Could just be a foggy morning in Scotland especially with the 'wee' highlighted thistles Mac. Loll's right by saying you have the best ideas.

Now with my D hat on - ditto what I said above. Thanks for sharing this beautiful creation with us at STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge Mac.

I somehow missed commenting on this which is unforgiveable as this is just gorgeous Mac.
