All Puffed Up...

It's been too long since I have posted but we are in strange times.
I have so enjoyed keeping up with your fabulous posts, commenting
and learning from your wonderful and amazing creativity....
Today's cards have been inspired by CAS Mix Up Challenge....

Today's Cards.....

Twofer is asking for Circles or Bubbles, so I have used a circle die for both cards.
My Seahorse card has been inspired by the CAS Mix Up Challenge,
which is to use embossed vellum.
I have stamped and heat embossed onto vellum the little squares
and onto the seahorse with Lindy Embossing powders, which are so very pretty.
On the back of the vellum seahorse, I have used an embossing tool
and the seahorse all puffed up....A new technique for me....
Cracked paste was used on the die cut seaweed and on the sentiment strip.

I decided to use the Jellyfish stamp on my second card,
as I thought it would look good all puffed up....
I used a stencil and distress ink, onto card stock, to use as my background.
Stamped and heat embossed the jellyfish in silver onto vellum as the front layer.
The circle die cuts were used under the vellum
and then the fall outs heat embossed in silver on the top.
Finishing off with the sentiment heat embossed onto the vellum.

Many thanks to all the very kind messages I have received to ask after me.
I have truly appreciated each and every one of them.
Enjoy your Crafting and keep safe and well.....
Challenges I would love to enter.....
Cas Mix Up - Embossed Vellum - Seahorse Card
I have used stamping and dry + heat embossing onto vellum
and my choices are die cutting and crackle paste
Twofer - Circles/Bubbles - Thrilled with my Win.....Thank you x
I have used a circle die cut for both of my cards.
Seahorse card is a friendly Hello card
The Jellyfish card is a birthday card

So lovely to see you back in action here - and with two such amazing bubbly cards! I love the lighter than air feel of the seahorse one - the light colours give it such a delicate, fragile look, perfect for that most intricate and fragile-looking of sea creatures. The silver jellyfish looks incredible, and the composition of both cards, with the bubbles leading your eye up and away, is perfect.

Breathtakingly stunning cards! What I wouldn't give to have a day watching you create!!! Maybe when the dreaded Covid is conquered and I visit my In-laws in Fife, I can make a detour 😉That Seahorse is perfect for this technique, as is the jelly fish! I am definitely going to check out Lindy's ep and the crackle paste.
Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Mix Up and Twofer:)

Congrats on Twofer win! These cards blew me away:) Can you please let me know what brand you used for the seahorse. Thanks!

Mac Mable said...

Hi Jenny
Thank you so much for your kind and lovely comments x
The seahorse is by Ryn and I have had it ages.
It stamps beautifully and it is good for cutting it out too.
Do you find that you buy all the new 'crafting goodies' and then often resort to the 'old' ones...?
Thanks again x
