Splats and Embossing

Thinking of you all and Stay Safe x

Here is Today's card.....

CAS Mix Up Challenge this month is Acrylic Paints and CAS Stencil is Heat Embossing...
My choice for CAS Mix Up is die cutting.

I tried the fun acrylic pouring technique.........
The piece I did was not good, but once I die cut the splat from it I thought I could use it.

I used 3D Clear gel through the stencil and silver embossing powder
and before it dried heat embossed it, which left a grungy, bubbly and dimensional effect.
I left in one piece of the fall out from the leaf shape die and popped on more embossing powders
and heat set for a really textural effect.
Finishing off with more random heat embossing and stamping the text vertically.
I had fun with the acrylic pouring and heat embossing with a stencil.

Happy 4th Birthday to the wonderful team over at The CAS Mix Up
and thank you for all your fabulous inspiration and fun challenges.
Challenges I would love to enter......
CAS Mix Up Challenge - Acrylic Paints - Thank you for the outstanding design shout out x
CAS Stencil - Heat Embossing - Thank you so much for the shout out x
Take It Make It Challenge - Craft Stamper - Anything goes so long as you have used stamping

Wow, you never cease to amaze me with your cards Mac. This is just wonderful. I watched a couple of videos on acrylic pouring the other day and decided I would never master it, but even though you were not happy with your effort you managed to transform it into a spectacular card. I love the grey and silver and all the shininess of the embossing plus the sentiment is very apt for the card. xx

WOW! You always amaze me, Mac! This is awesome! Love all that thick silver with the delicate cut of the leaf! Leaving in the bit of pop out piece and adding more embossing makes this even more interesting. It's definitely a card to be touched! You stay safe and healthy too, my friend!

Oh my goodness - silver monochrome magnificence! I've seen some pouring videos on youtube - is that what you mean for how you made this? Very very cool splat - and I just love how you've focussed the attention in on the leaf shape and given structure with the vertical lines. Somehow it all reminds me of a music stave too - with the notation lines (though they're vertical rather than horizontal) and the swirling leafy veins are reminiscent of a treble clef. In any case, I've thoroughly enjoyed examining this shimmering beauty. Amazing work as always.

I love the monochromatic look and all the textures. This is really a lovely card. I haven’t done any paint pouring. Sometimes I decide not to try a trend just because of the space it would take to buy the supplies. Be well!

Wow..Wow...Wow!!! Gorgeous artsy heat embossed stenciling background and love your fussy cut acrylic pour Splat! How genius to leave a piece of your die cut leaf in place and heat emboss. Wonderful monochromatic design too. I am so impressed, my friend! Hugs and stay safe, Mac. TFS and joining us at CAS Stencil.

There's always that 'extra' bit of brilliance in every card you create M and it shows here with that awesome splat and die cut then the extra darker powder given this a sensational look. Always so much to look at.

Wow, this is amazing, Mac! (Do I say this every time I visit your blog?) I LOVE this artsy acrylic pour card! The outline leaf over the splat-shaped die-cut acrylic pour is so eye-catching and unique. The silver heat-embossing creates an interesting effect. And how cool you stamped the sentiment vertically next to the vertical lines! Thank you so much for celebrating with us with your fantastic card!

Mac, amazing card! A wonderful technique of pouring acrylic, it seems to me too difficult to keep in check. I'm sure that after such a test my craftroom would look like after the war :-) However, your attempt was brilliant, I love all the details of the mosaic visible in close-up. The silver leaf looks like a treble clef on a staff ... I don't know if it was intended, but it is shocking to me. Thank you for another lesson on how to make CAS cards
Hugs,
BożenA
