Ghosting with a Stencil.....

Today's card is for The CAS Stencil Challenge...
The technique required is 'Ghosting'...
The background has been blended using several colours of Oxides...
At last I got them out and played with them....
Using the flower stencil and a baby wipe I wiped away some of the colour
to achieve the ghosting effect....
After that.....stamping, water splats, heat embossing and doodling with a white pen.
I love using a splat stamp and in this case heat embossing in the gold,
as I am able to control the splats...

The card started off with masking the rectangle shape
and my intention was to make a one layer card...
Nope that was not happening, as of course a last minute blob appeared!
The rectangle was then cut out and popped up onto foam....

Thank you so much for finding time to stop by, I really do appreciate it x.
Challenges I would love to enter....
Take It Make It Challenge - Anything goes - Lots of stamping on this card

Thank you for my Rocker shout out - I am delighted x

The touch of gold embossing is gorgeous. I love the outline around the edges and the script. Ghosting looks good and that sentiment is one I need. It is a great stamp.

This is absolutely beautiful Mac and I love the ghosting effect. I have those flower dies so I might have a go at making my own stencil with them and trying something similar. The colours that you've used all compliment each other and I love the touch of gold too. Fabulous work as always, I love it x

Another stunning card Mac. Love the background colours. I don't own a lot of DO's and they're mostly the bright vibrant ones but these muted shades are perfect.
I ALWAYS make a mess of one layer cards... !

Those splat stamps can be a calming breath when we want to add that little something but not impair what surrounds it. This really speaks to me today *Thank YOU* A delicate composition and perfect way to display that message this Sunday Morning. It needs no more than what you have given us... Stunning!
Sunday Hugs Tracey xx

I love all the different layers of interest on this- the ghosting technique works well for that. Yes, splatter stamps are great...real splatters very often don't turn out how I'd hoped - splat in the middle of something's eye in my image, usually.

Wow, Mac! Thanks for sharing the bit about laying a stencil over the background and wiping some of the ink off! BRILLIANT! I would not have thought of doing that for sure. Your beautifully embossed card is extra lovely with the white ghosting pen! Wishing you a lovely week! hugs, de
