The Voice Of The Sea

I have been having fun, water colouring and layer embossing powders...

Here's Today's Card......

I started by masking off the water colour card and using several Lindy powders,
activated by water for the Ocean.
The bling from them is so pretty.
I then had lots of fun layering and heating embossing powders on a craft mat
and my pancake maker....This ensures the powders don't fly everywhere.
Once the molten powders where cold,
I gentle peeled off the bits to create the texture on my card.

This is a great way to use all those embossing powders that I have stashed away...
I used blingy powders, which created a wonderful and unique effect.
The ship and the sentiment have been stamped
and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I finished off with water colouring the ship with shades of grey.

I had so much fun doing this card and as a technique girl learnt lots along the way.

The CAS Watercolour Challenge this month is Ocean and
The CAS Mix Up Challenge is layering of embossing powders
so I combined both of the challenges....my choice is water colouring
I would like to say a big Thank You to Loll
from Stamping with Loll for kindly designing my watermark for me.
What a friendly and generous blog community we have....x
Thank you so much for stopping by I really do appreciate your time...

I’ve just popped by to say thank you for the lovely comment that you left in my blog today, I really appreciate your visits. Now onto your masterpiece, it’s fabulous and totally different to anything else I’ve seen in blog land. The colour of your sea is amazing but the melted embossing powders look stunning, what an incredible idea. You’ve managed to put so many different things of interest on your card and yet it still looks quite CAS. Bravo to you Mac, you’re such a talented lady. Thank you for inspiring me to try something different. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

LOVING your watermark, it's so you.
I am always open mouthed when I visit, you do the most amazing work, so unusual and magnificent, this is AWESOME and so VERY beautiful. I didn't know that embossed powder could be lifted off a mat to use, I'll try that with my VERY limited powders. Thanks

You blow me away with your mastery of techniques, Mac. That is just the coolest mix of embossing powders. And do I understand correctly, you melted it on something then peeled it up and glued it onto your card? Coolio. As for the scene... I must admit I'm getting a ghost ship and a sea monster vibe. Very Creatures of the Deep-esque. Congrats on your win at Artistic Stamper!
