Peace......

Today's card is a Masculine Christmas Card...

This is my first Christmas card of the year,
inspired by the CAS Christmas Card Challenge, which is Masculine....
I used a stencil for the Stag's head, inked through it and then fussy cut it,
as I don't have the die cut.
I layered and heated a few lime/citron embossing powders and clear UTEE for the Stag.

The background was done using the tissue technique and spraying with black
and then hi-lighting the texture with liquid gold leaf...
The die cut sentiment and the snowflakes have also been achieved
by layering many different embossing powders and heating.
I have used a die cut square to frame the elements and edged in liquid gold leaf to finish.
I am now obsessed with layering embossing powders
and using my pancake maker for constant heat.
It's so much fun and the results are super shiny and unique
and a great way to use up all my stashed away embossing powders....

Challenges I would love to enter.....

This is STUNNING, Mac! LOVE the bright green stags head ... gorgeous colour, shine, and thickness. Looks amazing over your black and gold tissue paper background ... love it edged in more gold. And the sentiment die-cut and snowflakes are more of the encrusted jewel goodness. :) Amazing techniques that all work together into one incredible masculine Christmas card. Thanks for sharing at CAS Christmas! xx

Caught a glimpse of this card when I was enjoying your fabulous tree cards. This one is equally amazing. I'm really liking the 'lime look' of the stag's head against that black and gold. The stag looks like a piece of lime jade! Such dimension, it looked quite like a molded piece. The black tissue edged with the gold is stunning as a background. The tissue and the EP layering is something I've yet to try. You are doing some marvelous looks with it. The peace sentiment looks so dimensional also, and like a piece of metal that's been shaped to your card. I like the shades of color on the snowflakes too. Just so artistic! TFS
