CAS Mix Up May Challenge

The CAS Mix Up Challenge for May is

Using Gelato's or Crayons

Hosted by Bonnie

More information and video links can be found on The CAS Mix Up Challenge blog.....
You will also be treated to wonderful inspiration from the rest of the team
and Jenny from  My Paper Epiphany, who is our amazing guest this month.
You will be in for a real treat when you pop into her blog.....

This is my card.....

I used Distress Crayons to colour embossing paste, Die Cutting, Stencilling and Stamping
I had never used Gelato's or Crayons before so I found the video links
on the CAS Mix UP Challenge Blog really useful.

The die cut bird has been stamped with text and then inlaid back into the black card stock.
I used a stencil with clear embossing paste
and also embossing paste coloured with  vibrant pink distress crayons.
I finished off with the die cut 'You' sentiment and branch
and stamping the rest of the sentiment and heat embossing in white.

I hope you will join us for this fun challenge....
Thank you Bonnie for this new to me medium, which I have had fun with.

OMG! Mac, this card is phenomenal !! Both the combination of colors and the way of using stencil. Separating the pattern from stencil to two-colored areas is amazing! WOW! An amazing and so innovative solution.

What a gorgeous card Mac and adore the contrast of the black background with the pink texture paste and the white background to the bird with the added script. I love the transparent paste on the black and the way you have continued the pattern in pink over the bird, such a clever design idea, and the gold die cut branch and sentiment go beautifully. x
