Time for the reminder post for The CAS Mix Up April Challenge,
which is The Rubber Band Technique, Stamping and Your choice....
This is my card......
I have used the Rubber Band Technique, stamping and my choice is heat embossing,
water colouring and die cutting.
I am having so much fun trying out this new to me technique.
I started with Magical Powders and spraying water to activate them, in shades of pink.
The black tiny script has been lightly stamped in black archival.
I used two acrylic blocks with different thicknesses of rubber bands and stamped randomly
over the water coloured background, using Versa-Mark.
I then used silver embossing powder and heat set.
The four squares have been edged with black heat embossing and raised up onto foam.
Finishing off with the die cut sentiment that has been layered with silver and black.
Hope you will join us with this fun technique,
which I think makes unique and creative backgrounds.
There is lots of inspiration over on the blog from the talented Design Team
and our wonderful guest designer, Hideko, The Paper Craft Boutique
There are video links too....

Happy Sunday Tracey xx
Gorgeous and vibrant colours with your magicals background, Mac. Love the silver embossing and the edging of black embossing. Great details with a little bit of script stamping. xx
Cool and deliciously graphic, Mac ... the silver embossing pops brilliantly against those yummy bold pinks! Hugs, Anita :)
Absolutely stunning Mac, wonderful design and colours, brilliant technique, Kate x x
What a bold vivid & beautiful background you've created with these magicals (thanks for that idea!) Reminds me of a Chinese painting in a gallery. This is just stunning! Brilliant idea to cut up your background into quarters as you did here (now why didn't I think of that!) and it's so effective to show off this technique! TFS & Hugs
Gorgeous card with a beautiful design! Another fabulous technique, Mac! Mar :)
Oh I love the square panel design with the gorgeous shades of Magicals pink, Mac! The random rubber band heat-embossed marks make the each panel look very artsy. The black tiny scrip in the background is sublet but effective. Hideko xx
What a wonderful, happy background, Mac! Love the pink and red with the silver embossing! That tiny script stamping adds wonderful texture and the 2 layered die cut sentiment is beautiful atop it all!

Sorry I have not commented sooner - thought I had. Once more you have made a stunning card here M. Love the bold background colour and the touches of script add so much. Love the bold silver result you got from the rubber bands. Great surrounds in black and the big layered hello.
PS My Magicals are now in my hot little hand. Itchy finger are dying to play - that is after I had a hard time getting the lids of the containers.

This is so bright and beautiful Mac and love the silver rubber band stamping with that bright pink, and love the black heat embossed edge to each of the squares and the silver and black sentiment looks fabulous over the top. The tiny script goes beautifully in the background too. x
Love, love the colour on these squares and what a technique thus is. I haven't seen any two the same. Slowly getting my life back into order after the hacking time I have had. Hugs Mrs A.
Have a lovely weekend.
