Live In The Moment..

Inspired by
The CAS Mix Up Card Challenge
Update...
I was lucky enough to receive an Outstanding Design
shout out for my card...Thank you so very much

and
CAS(E) This Sketch for today's card
stamping, tissue paper and your choice..Mine is Die Cutting.
There are links on the blog about different techniques to try.
CAS(E) This Sketch  challenge totally caught my eye....
I have used several different colours of Lindy's sprays, for the tissue technique.
Some of them have mica in them and are really pretty and blingy !
I have enhanced the texture on the tissue with inca gold.
The die cut leaf has been heat embossed to add shine
and the sentiment heat embossed in gold.

I loved doing, the new to me, tissue technique and combining it with the sprays...
Messy and fun x

Mon Amie.....

Today's card was inspired by the Challenge over at City Crafter,
where the theme is Black and White....

My loyal and good blog friend Ros from Ros-Mikeysmom Blog
has been on the design team there for seven years
and this is her last inspiration post.
I shall miss her unique and creative style and wanted to show my support.
This card is for her...
Cas-Ual Fridays challenge is Tic Tac Toe so that was was inspiration too.
I started with the horizontal line at the top
I stamped the black horizontal stripes with my trusty Misti first.
The butterflies have also been stamped
and masked to get the white heat embossing on the black.
I then popped on the spiky stencil, masked and black embossing paste
and just before it was dry heat embossed white powder,
which gave a lovely texture to it.
I finished with stamping the sentiments.

At this stage it was all on one layer, which I was so pleased about.

However....the heat embossing and black paste made the mixed media card stock
warp, so I had to go onto plan B!
I added the dry embossed grid layer and now it's the vertical line on the right.
 How lucky was that?
It is one of those cards that looks like I made it quickly but boy did it take me ages.
And...I loved doing it!!!
Just wanted to say Thank You for all the inspiration Ros x

Money Wallet.....

Had a fun couple of days making this Money Wallet...
I was inspired by the  Flag Day Challenge at Shopping Our Stash.
They wanted us to use the colours of our national flag...
Mine is The united Kingdom..Red, White and Blue...
I live in Scotland, which is Blue and White but it is part of the UK.

I came by the challenge via Crispyscreations.blogspot.co.uk
I had never used the flag stamp before,
although I had it for some time...
This is my Money Wallet.....
I stamped the flag using distress inks and water.
The aeroplane and sentiment where stamped and heat embossed.
I die cut the beating heart line and layered it up for dimension,
popping blue foam behind.
This is the inside......
Smooshing with distress inks, die cutting, stamping and stenciling.
I kept the left hand side light so that I could hand write a sentiment x
I wanted it to look like a travel tag...
I have a neighbour who is shortly joining British Airways
as a steward and tried to work with that theme as well x

Thank you so much for finding time to stop by...I really do appreciate it x
