Follow Your Dreams

Having fun with alcohol inks and bling on todays card......

I was inspired by the colours over at Colorthrowdown,
which are Blue, Green and Gold.
The photo also made me want to get out my alcohol inks and play.......

The alcohol ink splat has been die cut, inlaid into the card
and gold foiling for hi-lights.
The dragonfly has been stamped and coloured with Mica and water.
Finishing off with the stamped sentiment, gold paint splats
and gold heated edging.

My alcohol ink playing looked nothing like the photo in the end
but I sure had fun and I have got lots more 'experiments' to use up.

Sending hugs to those who need it and thank you so very much for stopping by.

Challenges I would love to enter.......
Colorthrowdown - Blue, Green and Gold -Thank you for The Shout Out, I appreciate it.
Stamping Sensations - Anything stamped and with the option this time of 'Wings'
We Love Stamping - Anything stamped without the option this time of 'Stencils'
Watercooler Wednesday - Helen's All about occasions - My card is for a new job.....

What a lovely card, Mac! You've certainly taken the colours from that challenge and made them your own. The dragonfly appears to have flown through that "splatt" of colours and gold, wearing them proudly as it flies away. Now I want to experiment with my alcohol inks. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.

The alcohol ink piece used to cut your ink splat and inlaid like this and with the added gold foil looks spectacular, and a beautiful gold edging and splatters, and some great words to finish..fabulous! x

I really really really need to get my AI's out after seeing this magnificant card Mac. Of course the dragonfly reminds me of Outlander and Yay! not long to go now till the Droughtlander is over. What an amazing result you got here and love your gold embossed sides. Lovely sentiment too...

Looking at the card, I have the feeling that the dragonfly has bathed in this colorful spot and has picked up some color from it. I love that the stain has intense colors and the dragonfly is brushed with colors in more pastel shades. The gilding on the stain adds elegance and enriches the card. Another amazing project, Mac. Thank you for the inspiration :-)
