Plaid and Loving It

Living in Scotland I always enjoy making cards with Plaid.
This is todays' card

The Plaid background has been stencilled first
and then the Stag's stencilling on top.
I used a third stencil on top of the stag, with mini dots and clear embossing paste,
to add a little dimension to my one layer card.

The colours of The Plaid are the recipients colours of their Tartan.
Finishing off with some white Nuvo Drops, mini splats
and the Birthday stamped sentiment.
I was Inspired by Three Challenges to make this Masculine Plaid card.

I hope you are all keeping well and sending hugs to those who need it.

Challenges I would love to Enter .........................
Just Us Girls - Wild Card Week - Plaid
Super thrilled with my Chic Of The Week shout out.....Thank you
Allsorts Challenge - Anything goes with the option of using a stencil....I used three

Wow, your stenciling on this is really stunning! I especially love the faded look of the plaid background and it's a perfect masculine design too! The extra texture with the deer really stands out and looks amazing! Wonderful inspiration friend!

What a wonderful plaid background Mac, and the stag stencilled over the top is a beauty...you can see the pretty sparkly dots brilliantly too, and the coordinating sentiment is a nice large size, and love the way you have placed it up the side of the card. Your friend will be overjoyed with this super card. x

Perfect! Stunning masculine card, Mac. Using two stencils seems challenging, but using 3 stencils? This seems interesting, I think I will try it. I love the colours too. Hugs, my friend.

Oh Mac what a CASimply stunning plaid (tartan eh) card you have here. Such a soft background and love how you have gone the extra mile or two with the stag stencil and those wee sparkly dots. Not to finish here you added more wee dots in white. Love the big birthday sentiment.
PS Sooooooooo glad you shared it over at Just Us Girls.

What an awesome masculine birthday card, Mac! The layers of stenciling is so stylish and the little dots give the card an extra touch. Love the handsome modern-looking stag!
When I read your description of Tartan, I started googling Tartan. I didn't know the difference between Plaid and Tartan, or Tartan has something to do with clan. So interesting! My best memory of tartan is a little tartan piece sewn inside my basketball shoes when Bay City Rollers were popular in Japan in the 70s. :-)

Oooh, I love this birthday card Mac! The design, the textures, the stenciling, the stamps.....it is just amazing! I need me a tartan stencil after seeing this one! That stag stencil is just as amazing too and I love how you stenciled on top of the stag as well. One wouldn't know this was a one layer card without feeling it. I love this masculine birthday card!!! Hugs, Brenda
