Scottish Themed Christmas Card

This is the first time I have ever made a Christmas card in January
and it's thanks to Hideko and her striking card over at
The CAS Christmas Card Challenge....which is Colours of Silver and Gold

This is my Masculine, Scottish Themed, Silver and Gold Card

Stencilling, Stamping, Die Cutting, Foiling and lots of Heat Embossing.
I have used a stencil for the numbers, Embossing Powders and Foiling.
A fun accident happened when I stamped into the heated gold on the reindeer
and ended up with a circle right where his nose would be......

The numbers look a little 'freehand' for my taste but I was trying to make them
look like the bark of a tree to tie in with the 'Stamped' tree on the reindeer.

Several shades of Silver, Several shades of Gold, lots of Texture
and bling and I enjoyed myself. Thanks Hideko for the inspiration.

Challenges I would love to enter.......
CAS Christmas Challenge - Silver and Gold
Country View Challenge - Sparkle and Shine - Lots of shine and bling on this card

Wow, this turned out brilliant Mac! Really love both the gold and silver mixed together on your design especially with that touch of Scottish plaid in there! The way you've imprinted the deer is very cool and I love the texture of it! Always learning from you friend! Thanks for posting!

Wow, this is totally YOU, Mac! I LOve the Scottish themed Silver and Gold Stag card! It has so much depth and interest with different elements, and yet it looks so CAS! The bark-of-a-tree-like numbers and the tree-ring reindeer are the perfect match.
I'm very honored that my card was a little inspiration for your wonderful creation. Thank you so much for your kind words, and for sharing this piece of art with us at CAS Christmas!

You have rocked this challenge, Mac! I LOVE all the different ways of adding silver and gold! The softly stenciled plaid makes a wonderful background and that stag head is awesome! So much dimension that I want to reach out and touch it!

This card is so beautiful! And elegant! I can't say that I have never made a Christmas card in January. I have often sent out Christmas cards way after Christmas. (This year most of mine went before Christmas...) I also try to make my Christmas cards all through the year so I don't feel so overwhelmed at Christmas time.

I always look forward to seeing your cards Mac as they are full of wonderful techniques and this is no exception. I can see the Scottish connection with the plaid and sparkly dimensional thistle and I love the way you have roughed up the number '5' and added the silver edge to the '2', and also the tree rings over the deers face and it does look like his nose in the centre, and great dimension and sparkle too with stamping into the embossing I think? A fabulous card! x

Amazing card once again, Mac. The deer is fabulous. I love the funny accident as this nose with the circles is really interesting.I do not mind the "free hand" numbers, in fact I like them this way because it gives your card a non stylised style. Stunning masculine card. Thank you for "teaching" me every time with sharing the steps for your creations, my friend. Kisses!

My born-in-Scotland grandmother, and my love of all things "Braveheart" made the Thistle the first thing that caught my eye, Mac! Followed very quickly by this handsome stag, wonderful plaid, and the tree-bark look of the date!
A gorgeous Christmas card, my friend!

You sure know how to knock someone's socks off - only I haven't got socks on. Well then pick me up off the floor so I can then stop my jaw from dropping any further. Mac I have been eye balling this piece of magnificence for such a time now studying every clever little detail you have here. The touches of grey and silver in the background is perfect for the amazing detail you have here for that stag. Your bold 25 just adds another amazing element. Still swooning over this one.

When I saw this card, I had the impression that I had moved to a medieval Scottish castle. The impression is amazing. You unexpectedly combined all these patterns, textures, gold and silver. The end result is simply stunning!

I very much need to take a leaf out of your book and prepare early for Christmas I made just a handful last year, so disappointed in myself. I love the theme one suited to many of my hubbies side of the family. The happy accident stamping into the UTTEE to reveal a nose was just meant to be. You are so clever. Thank you again for the inspiration.
