Monochromatic Happy Birthday

Thankyou so much for all my kind and friendly comments on my last post,
which I really appreciated.

Today's card is mixed media and Monochromatic.....

The leaves have been stamped and half heat embossed with shimmer.
The die cut flower has been heat embossed with lots of UTEE on my pancake maker
for constant heat and swirled around with a cocktail stick whilst still molten.

I finished off with heat embossing one edge of the card,
stamping the Happy Birthday sentiments
and adding the thin die cut circle.
I had so much fun making this card and it was sent to one very special lady.

Challenges that I would love to enter.......
The Flower Challenge - Use a die (without the option)
Country View Challenge - Monochromatic
Thank you so much for the Design Team Special Mention - What an honour x.
Just Us Girls - Trend week - Black and White
Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes

Your cards are always spectacular Mac and this one is no exception with the fabulous flower and leaves with lots of sparkle, and what a great idea to use your pancake maker to heat the UTEE covered flower, and love the silver heat embossed edge and pretty mix of sentiments down the side, and the circular frame to lay the fabulous flower over. A gorgeous card which will be greatly appreciated by your special friend. x

Mac... can I say WOW! Would so love to see a video of you creating the flower...the result is amazing. The flower looks sturdy enough to be a pin. It would be fun to make those, attach a pin back, then attach to a card. A gift in a gift! Love the card and all your hard work! Thank you so much for sharing at Just Us Girls!

Fabulous card and loving the technique which reminds me I still have lots of UTEE hanging around somewhere. Apparently it's quite difficult to get hold of now as it's not so popular as it was. Wishing you a lovely and creative weekend. You have no excuse now so get on with the crafting Lol! Big hugs, Angela xXx

Wow! That flower turned out incredible Mac! LOVE the way you've used the black and white theme on this! So classy and elegant looking!! I totally forget about using that UTEE stuff so thanks for the great inspiration with that!!

This is beautiful, I always love monochromatic cards and your special embossed central flower is glorious. I love how you have filled the page and that little circle detail is quite inspired. The silver line of embossing along the edge is a perfect bit of extra detail. I just love it. Your absence has definitely not effected your card making, stunning xx

You're back in big style, Mac! Your card is so beautiful! I love its monochrome nature. The grays correspond so beautifully with the silver embossing and your flower is a real work of art. This card should be framed and decorate your living room. Elegance and artistry in one.

Wonderful card, Mac! I love the partial embossing on the leaves and the thicker embossing of the UTEE on the flower. And the composition of the card is fabulous with the sentiment stamping and the circle die.

Something tells me you can totally guess why I love your gorgeous card, Mac! Let's start with the shimmer on those fab leaves - the bloom is pretty enough to wear as a brooch, and all those wonderful words in grey! Love it ALL!

This is a stunning card Mac! I love the monochromatic look of it. The leaves stamp is so pretty, love how you have half embossed them. The subtle "happy birthday" stamped words are lovely, the light gray lets the leaves and flowers shine, but adds that something, something without over taking the main focal images. Love the thin white circle, again, it adds in that something, something without being so obvious. Now the flower, wow!!! Love how that came out! I haven't done this technique in a long time, but it never ceases to wow me. You sure haven't lost an mojo Mac, this card is amazing!!! Hugs, Brenda

I think I can use the word delicious quite freely here, what a great use of your pancake maker. The swirls in that UTEE look fantastic, not as easy as it appears as at times colours can become quite muddy. Another amazing composition that i'd love to run my hands across. Fantastic work.
Hugs Tracey xx
