Birthday Boy

Today's card was inspired by the colour challenge over at Color Throwdown.
Although the photo inspiration had flowers on it I thought the colours
would lend themselves to a masculine 16th Birthday card.......
The colours are RED, PURPLE and ORANGE......

You can see a little more of the detailing, crackle and bling on this photo.

I used a mix of gold and purple embossing powders,
which played nicely together on the die cut photo film frame,
the stamping/embossing on the left and the die cut number 1.

I so enjoyed making the mixed media card, using stencilling, stamping, die cutting
and heat embossing and loved the colour combination from the challenge.
Challenges I would love to enter......
The Color Throwdown Challenge - Red, Purple and Orange
Seize The Birthday - Without the option
Watercooler Wednesday-Kath's All about occasions-Thank You for the Shout Out x
Simon Says Stamp - Monday Challenge - Fun with stencils

A fantastic birthday card for a 16-year old boy, Mac! I love how you used these warm fall colors to make this masculine card. You also chose wonderful elements for the birthday boy (the stencil design, film frame die-cut, and the sneakers), added cool texture to them, and arranged them so well in a square card! You ARE a mixed media queen. :-)
