CAS Mix Up has another fun challenge this month.
It's a new to me technique.
It is a great way to extend your die cuts even further.....
This is my card........
After die cutting the flower I scribbled on several colours with my zigs
and sprayed liberally with water,
I flipped it over onto watercolour card
and pressed it down three times to get the graduated look.
I used the original die cut and three more on the card.
Finishing with the stamped sentiment, splats
and heat embossing silver on the lower edge.
CAS Mix up is also celebrating their 5th Birthday.

I love blue cornflowers (and blue is my favourite colour) so I'm totally in love with this card. Beautiful use of the die cut printing for the graduated look of the colour, and lovely die cuts and splatters on the top. Great way to do the sentiment too!
A lovely spring card. Great job on the technique. I always seem to add too much water and get a washed out background instead. 😂

WOW! Another great project, Mac !! I love your cornflowers, they have such an amazing color! I am also delighted with this technique, but my printing is not as pretty as yours. I wonder about your die cut flowers ... they have such white patterns between the basket and the petals ... Is it a hand-painted pattern with a white feather? It looks amazing !!

What a lovely card, Mac. Great technique, my friend. Clever use of dies and pretty gradient colours. The silver embossing powder is perfect on blue. Thank you for the inspiration, sweetie.
I love these gorgeous cornflowers Mac and the printed ones in between in the background, and some pretty spattering too, and a great uplifting sentiment and it works beautifully on strips over the three background flowers. x

Mac, you know by now that blue isn't a favorite color - HOWEVER! These are such gorgeous shades of electric blue that I couldn't resist loving them!
I'm not sure what kind of flower this is, but they remind me of those growing wild along our country roads - so pretty! Beautiful print-making, my friend! xx

Admit that I had to look close at this one Mac...thought they were all stamped (or printed) images at first glance, and then figured out that you used a mixture of die cut and those where you used the die cut to make a print...clever and BEAUTIFUL line up my friend!! And I LOVE that color blue you used...SOOOO pretty!! Hugs. :0)
This is just perfection. I have always thought that CAS cards are some of the most difficult to make them look complete but you just have the skill when it comes to these. The Queen of CAS! Take care and have a great crafty week. Hugs, Angela xXx

Wow Mac, you are a pro at this technique as your card is stunning! I love that die you used and what a beautiful gradient fade you got. That was such a great idea to do. Love the colors you chose as well. You sentiment says it all! It has been spring here this week and has been glorious outside. Rain coming, but that is ok because the temps are staying up. So the dogs and I are enjoying it while it lasts. lol Hugs, Brenda

What a lovely spring card, Mac! I LOVE the blue shades of your flowers and prints. The graduated look is so pretty and the fine splatters add depth to the card. The way you placed the sentiment strips is clever and they echo the height of the flowers!

This is truly beautiful, watercolour is such a delicate way of adding dimension to those flat white areas. You are a master at CAS Mac, one I always think of when I see that word. Spring certainly has sprung upon this card sigh.. Beautiful work my friend.
