Blue Birthday Flower......

Uniko is celebrating their 8th Birthday and I wanted to join in the party....
I have used the pretty Uniko Peony stamp set and water coloured in cool colours.

Here is my card.....

I tried the no-line water colouring technique but as you can see I am no water colourist
but I had fun trying......
The stamp set also has a smaller peony flower stamp, so I made a tag too.
I finished the set off with a few drops of clear raindrops and a stamped sentiment.
Bev and her team over at uniko are always so inspirational and creative
and here's to many more years to come...
Still Wild, Windy, Wet and Very Cold weather here, where I live in Scotland...
Staying in to Craft!.....
Challenges I would love to enter.....
Uniko's challenge this month is anything goes
and I have gone with the optional cool Winter colours...
Super Thrilled with my Win - Thank you x.
The Flower Challenge #41 - Add Leaves
Delighted with my Honourable Mention....Thank you x.
Day of The Month Card Club - Send a card to a Friend Day
This is going to a dear friend along with the tag and a gift x.
Thank you for my second place win x
Seize The Birthday - with the option of show us your white space

Don't be so hard on yourself, Mac! I think your watercolouring is great! And what a spectacular colour combination - love the tones of mauve and purple for the flower and the striking blue leaves.

I've heard about your winter storms on the news over here in Canada. And my cousins live in Sussex and they've mentioned the very wet stormy weather they've had on the south coast. It must be even worse up in Scotland. Take care - stay warm and dry!

Such a Beautiful and Elegant card with gorgeous colouring Mac, I would say your colouring is fabulous. I hope you are dry, warm and safe in this dreadful stormy weather we are all having.

Beautiful card/tag combo, Mac. The blooms are gorgeous. Love the colours. And wow what a fabulous first attempt at no line watercolouring. I’ve only tried no line colouring with Copics... no line watercolouring is on my to-try list.

You are amazing with watercolouring, Mac!! These are beautiful. Great job with this difficult technique. LOVE the colours you've used. xx

Hi, Mac! Both the card and tag are incredible! I am a lover of blue leaves - there is something so special when the leaves "compete" with a flower's beauty in this way. After all, there would be no flowers without the leaves! They are beautiful in their own way, yes? It's a fantastic way of celebrating Unkio's birthday! hugs, de

Wow! This card and tag are beautiful Mac! You did a great job at no line watercoloring. I wish I could do this good. I think you are being way to hard on yourself. It is fun trying isn't it? I haven't tried the no line stuff yet, want to at some point. Just trying to learn how to watercolor decently...which hasn't come yet. Don't think it is going to be my thing but I keep trying. I do better with pencils. Anyway, I think you did great! Hugs, Brenda

What a stunner Mac - loving your rich watercoloured peony's!! The raindrops are perfect.
We are still hot and dry - crunchy grass stuff - hanging out for rain, and praying no fires start, it's tinder dry and we are officially in drought.

Stunning! Do not ever underestimate your watercolour skills as even the most professional of colourists will tell you that water colouring can have it's moments. You've defined each petal with perfection and what a beautiful choice of colourway too. This would make a wonderful Mother's day card and personalised tag. Thank you for sharing all that loveliness with us.
