CAS Mix Up February Challenge

The CAS Mix Up Challenge for February is Dimensional Die cuts ......
Hosted by the friendly and creative Hideko...
Our fabulous guest designer this month is......Arlene from Sundaystamper Papercrafts
There are videos links on the blog for further inspiration....
Pop across and see Arlene's and the wonderful Design Team cards.

Here is My Card.....

I have used Dimensional Die cuts, Stamping and my choice is stencilling and embossing paste.
I started with stamping the text heart in black.
I popped black embossing paste through a stencil and heat embossed a couple of
Lindy Embossing powders. The effect is quite different on Black Paste.
The three die cuts have been layered several times and I used the same
Lindy embossing powders, heating and layering several times too.
The effect is really quite eye catching and super shiny.
The die cut heart had the same treatment and also a layer of thick gloss.
The edging on the left is heat embossed over black card.
I popped on this photo to show the vast difference of the effect of the Lindys...
depending on light etc.
I finished off with a gold acrylic paint around some of the edges.
This card is for my DH and the flower head, which I thought looked like a thistle
is a nod to him being Scottish and hence the colour of the purple as my inspiration.

I don't have a lot of the Lindy Embossing Powders but they give the same amazing
colour variations and effects as the wonderful Sprays and Magicals.
I had a lot of fun making this card and thank you Hideko for the fun challenge.
Thank you for finding time to stop by and I am looking forward to seeing
your fabulous creations in the gallery.
Challenges I would love to enter......
The Craft Stamper Challenge- Take It Make It - Anything Goes
Stamplorations - Create any type of project with a Love theme
There are three Digi's for  a free download but you don't have to use their products to enter
Watercooler Wednesday - Anything Goes
Thank you so much for the shout out and choosing my card as a Rocker x.
I have gone with the theme....Stamped heart to begin with and then lots of die cut hearts too....

I've had a small glitch with Blogger lately! arrrgh… don't get me started! It caused all of the blogs I follow by email to get lost in ethernet somewhere - though I'm glad to report I'm back in business, and they are dribbling back in!
