Winter Wishes.....

I have a friend who's Birthday it is this Month and came up with this card and tag....
Die cuts, stamping and stencilling have been used on the card.....
The stylised tree Die comes with a coordinating Stamp too, so I masked
and stamped half the tree stamp under the die cut silver tree, heat embossed it
and hi-lighted it with a white pen.
Layers of Die cuts for texture and dimension.
So hard to photo with the bling of the silver card, the alcohol inks and the acetate....
To carry the tree theme over onto the tag I used a stencil by Sanna Lippert/Stamplorations
and used black texture paste and then a sprinkling of glitter...
The tag die and Winter sentiment are also Stamplorations.
Stamplorations Tag challenge this month is All About Winter,
which inspired me to make the card and tag with that theme....
Thank you so much for you stopping by...
I used several different colours of alcohol inks onto acetate.....
Challenges I would love to enter.........
Stamplorations - Tagplorations - All About Winter
With the optional twist of texture paste, which I have also used
Stamplorations - Mixed Media - Anything goes, which now also includes cards but you must include a stencil, which I have on the card and on the tag
Watercooler Wednesday - Gail's Masculine Challenge - Anything Goes
The Male Room - Anything goes without the optional twist
Thrilled with my win at The Male Room....Thank you

CAS Mix Up January Challenge Reminder

Half way through the month already and time for some inspiration
on this month's challenge of  The Bokeh Effect.
The wonderful Nancy is hosting the fun challenge.
For more information, video's and inspiration from the Design Team,
Thank you to Viv from Viv's visuals for being our fabulous Guest Designer this month.
Here is My Card.......
I have used the Bokeh Technique, Stamping and my choice is Blending and Heat Embossing.
I started by stamping the foliage and the thistles.
I then sponged several different colours of  green distress inks and left it to dry.
Using a circle stencil and sponging, with white pigment ink, to do the Bokeh effect.
The sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed onto vellum.
Finishing off with hi-lighting in white and a pop of gold for the thistle heads.

The gallery is looking fabulous.......
The challenge is open until the 24th.......

As I used a stencil and sponging I shall be popping my card into the new
CAS Stencil Challenge, which started this month by the Lovely Loll.
Come and join in the fun.....
Challenges I would love to enter....
CAS Stencil Challenge using sponging and keeping it CAS

CAS Mix Up January Challenge

Here's to a Healthy and Crafty 2019 x
Thank you all so very much for your blog friendship
and your kind and encouraging comments.
I have appreciated every single one of them x

The CAS Mix Up Challenge for January 2019 is Bokeh....
Hosted by the friendly, creative and lovely Nancy....
Our wonderful guest designer this month is the very talented Viv from Viv's Visuals...
If you've never tried this technique there are video links on the blog for inspiration.

Here is my card........

I have used the Bokeh Technique, Stenciling, Die Cutting and Stamping.
I used a couple of Lindy sprays by unscrewing the bottles
and dipping a paint brush in and water coloured onto wet water colour card.
I used a circle stencil and sponged white pigment ink and varied the 'whiteness'
to achieve the Bokeh effect.
The flowers have been die cut twice and I have used glass beads and PVA glue.
I finished off with stamping the sentiment in dark grey ink.
The beads are really pretty and add a delicate bit of bling.

There is a new CAS challenge starting on the 4th January by the wonderful Loll
so if you enjoy using stencils on your CAS cards why not pop in and take a look?
Loll and her amazing design team will have lots of inspiration for you .....
As I used Sponging I will be popping my card into the CAS Stencil challenge x

My blog friend and fellow Design Team Nancy will be leaving the CAS Mix Up Team,
after this month and popping over onto the new CAS Stencil Team.....
You'll be missed Nancy x
