Good to be back....

The great thing about being away is coming back to see all your amazing creations....

As I wasn't around to wish you all Happy Holidays
I thought I would post my Poinsettia tag to end the year.......

I used two colours of Brusho's, starch and cling film for the poinsettia and made a few backgrounds.
The Poinsettia was stamped three times, heat embossed in silver
and fussy cut out, to achieve the layering effect.
I die cut lots of dies and melted embossing powders,
using my pancake maker as a constant heat source.
The background tag has been stenciled with black paste
and sprayed with Lindy black sprays.
I cut out the number 25 from the stencil
and hi-lighted it with a chrome pen, along with the word Merry.
The starch, Brusho's and cling film produces unique and unexpected results.
A Non Traditional colour of Poinsettia and one very textural and contemporary tag.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful and generous comments throughout 2019...
You are all so kind and I appreciate each and every one of you.
Here's to a Healthy, Happy and Crafty 2020 x.
Sending love and hugs.

Monochromatic Mushrooms

I have been playing with a fun technique for today's Monochromatic Mushroom card....
I have used one colour of Bistre powder, activated by water
and wrapped in cling film for the technique.
I also used mica powder in the water and also on the card to produce a really pretty effect.
Hard to show but it is there.....
I stamped the Rubber Dance Mushrooms on two sheets of card
so that I could have a contrast with the background and the mushrooms.
I also cut the mushrooms up so the tops where different from the bottoms.
The mushrooms have been popped onto foam for dimension
and to make them the focal point.
Such a fun and unique effect with the technique.

Maple Leaf Stencilling

Today's card was inspired by the wonderful Loll....Who needs no introduction x.
For the mid month inspiration post Loll did a fun technique, which I was keen to try.
I loved the idea of the background not being black.
If you want to see CAS at it's best pop over to Loll's Blog.....

Here is my card....

I used a maple stencil and Lindy Magicals for the water colours.
I popped on transparent paste through the stencil and let it dry completely.
I then sprayed the whole card with 'Dark Chocolate Truffle' from Lindy's.....
Wiping away the spray from the resist of the paste.
I loved how the gold from the spray pooled around the stencilling.
I attached the panel to foam and heat embossed the edges with gold.
I finished off with stamping the sentiment three times to represent
The CAS Watercolour celebrating their third birthday....Where does time go? x

I would like to say at this point that I had intended to cut the panel in half
and make two cards........ I loved it so much I couldn't!
To try and keep it CAS I made a larger card.........!
Happy Birthday to the very creative Design Team over at The CAS Watercolour x.

Photographing the bling from the Lindy's was hard so squinting a little might help!......
Thank you Loll for the inspiration x

Time to Celebrate

Today's card was inspired by a fun challenge over at
The CAS Stencil ....to stencil over patterned paper.
Something I had never even thought to do....
I have had this two part metal stencil for ages, so I thought I would make a masculine card.
Layer one - Blending a couple of shades of brown inks.
Layer two - Copper embossing paste.
A little foiling for the hands and the top of the watch.
I also stamped and heat embossed in copper the circles and around the edges
and finished off with stamping the sentiment three times.
What a great way to use up some of my hoarded paper.
I am looking at my patterned paper in a whole different way now......
Thank you ladies for the inspiration x.

Flower Foiling

I have so missed crafting and joining in my favourite challenges....
Meet today's card......
Joining in my favourite Challenge, which this month is foiling .....
There are so many ways to do foiling and
if you are looking for more inspiration pop along to The CAS Mix Up Challenge to see more.

After masking off the card I blended Oxide inks and splattered with a tiny amount of water.
I stamped the pretty flower image and the butterfly and then used bleach to whiten up the areas.
After stamping again with flitter glu I popped on the mica flakes.
Finishing off with the stamped Hello sentiment in gold and a little doodling in white.

I want to take the opportunity to thank my dear blog friends for their very kind messages.
I have been so busy lately
and have had no time to join in my favourite challenges.
We have such a friendly and supportive crafting community
and I cherish all my blog friendships.

Sending love and hugs and a heartfelt Thank you x

Tears......

I was inspired by the CASology challenge theme of Water
and Less is More challenge using one layer and stencils....
When I saw the theme of 'Water' I thought of this sentiment and the tear drop.....

This is my card.....

I have used a Funky Fossil Stencil for the face, a Ryn stamp for the tear and
An Art Journey stamp for the sentiment.
Finishing off with a wash of pink watercolour, gloss on the tear
and black perfect pearl as the eye liner.
I have always loved this sentiment......
Thanks for stopping by.

Nautical.......

It's taken me awhile to make these two cards but I didn't want to miss
Darnells' Twofer Challenge, which is Nautical and these are my two cards....
Two different cards, Two different designs, Using the same stamp...The Seahorse.
Using Lindy Sprays, perfect pearls, crackle paste, stencilling, stamping and fussy cutting,
stamping and heat embossing and die cutting for this
Just a Note Card.....
You might be able to see a little more detail with this photo....
I had so much fun making this collage card.
I have used lots of different stamps from different company's.......
Ink blending, splats, die cutting and stencilling.
The shell on the bottom right is stencilled.
The contemporary colour combination was inspired by a paper napkin I have at home.
The main red coral has been fussy cut from the napkin and glued on.
Finishing off with the die cut sentiment.

The card is for a family member who is embarking on a cruise shortly
and I thought it would make a good travel/Bon Voyage card......
I had tons of fun making these cards.
Thank you for stopping by x

Beautiful You....

Today's card has been inspired by a few challenges.
I've had fun with a Stencil and Water colouring......
Here's My Card.....
CAS Stencil challenge is to use Sprays and CAS Watercolour is Colourful Butterflies.....
I sprayed the Face stencil with Black 'Flat' spray from Lindy's, onto watercolour card.
I then flipped the stencil over and pressed it onto another card to use at a later date.
I have used several shimmer green sprays from Lindy's for the bottom of the card,
applying with a water brush directly from the bottle.
The same with the 'eye shadow' and the stamped fussy cut butterfly.
The gold butterflies have been stamped and heat embossed.
The butterfly stamps along the bottom are by Stamplorations.
The butterfly in the hair is by Clearly Besotted.
Finishing off the card with gold perfect pearls and a little doodling.
In the interest of honesty......I made this card twice........
If you look at the photo on the left you will see 'grey' smudging at the top of her head.
Getting progressively worse with the photo on the right....
My advice with using sprays through a stencil.....
Leave alone and keep fussing to a minimum, as not to re-activate the spray!

I hope you've managed some crafty time this weekend
and thank you so much for finding time to stop by.

CAS Mix Up August reminder post

Time for the reminder post over At The CAS Mix Up Challenge
with the fun Paper Towel Technique....
Betty from created by BJK is our talented guest designer
and lots of inspiration from the team over on the blog.......
Paper Towel Transfer, Stamping, Die cutting, Heat embossing and Doodling
Sorry the card looks bendy in this photo ......
I used the mop up paper towels with lots of water, scrunched them up
and thumped them down onto my card.
It took awhile to get the depth of colour but I loved the random effect.
I used a little water colour around the edges to enhance the shape.
I unscrewed a Lindy spray bottle and used the end of the spray tube to doodle a horizontal line.
There must have been a lot of mica in the bottom of the tube as the effect was really sparkly.
The die cut sentiment was coloured with the Lindy and a liquid chrome pen.
Finishing off with stamping and heat embossing a mixed media stamp in silver.

It's a great way to use up those mop up paper towels instead of just popping them in the bin.
Thank you for stopping by....

The gallery is looking so creative and fabulous.
I hope you find time to join in.....
