CAS Mix Up August Challenge

The CAS Mix Up Challenge for August is

Stencil Monoprint.....

Hosted by the wonderfully talented Nancy.....

The design team and our fabulous guest designer Cathy from Cathy's Card Spot
have wonderful inspiration for you over on the blog.
There are video's links too, to inspire you further......

This is my card....

I have used Brusho's with the stencil, stamping and my choice is heat embossing
I sprinkled different shades of Brusho's through the stencil
and sprayed with water to activate them.
The sentiment and the grasses have been stamped with grey archival ink.
The butterfly has been heat embossed with white
and the rectangle layer edged with gold heat embossing.

I flipped the stencil over, whilst it was still wet and this is my other card....
Not CAS but artsy and it's great to get two cards from the one technique.
The sentiment was stamped in black first and then gold heat embossed on top,
which produces a subtle effect, so much so it looks very dark in the photo!
The Monoprint challenge is a fun one, which produces unique effects.
Pop across and admire the fabulous cards from the design team and the wonderful Cathy.

I am looking forward to seeing your wonderful creativity in the gallery.
Thank you so much for popping in...And I'm Loving my background Loll xxx
Challenges I would like to enter.......
Watercooler Wednesday Challenge - Feminine Anything Goes challenge
Always  a fun challenge to join in
Stamplorations - Anything goes challenge - The stencil is a Stamplorations stencil

Two wonderful designs using your Brushos and flower stencil Mac! Love the colors! The little gray grasses are so pretty on the first and I love how you made that little square spotlight on the 2nd! (I got that same background from Loll - I finally got it mounted on foam board - but haven't made any cards to photograph yet!! It looks like a real plank of peeling paint wood!) Julia xx

Two beautiful cards using your positive and negative stencil monoprint samples, Mac. I love your Brushos color choices. TFS both your cards and the cool effect that you can see on your 2nd card close up showing the gold shine over the black archival ink stamped sentiment. I have heat embossed with clear eb powder over the archival black, but never a gold, etc. I will have to try. TFS my friend. Hugs...

Wow, Mac, what a clever mind you have, and so creative! I love the wonderful details of your first card (amazing that you managed those gorgeous flowers using Brusho in a stencil. But what totally blew my mind was the second card which you achieved simply by flipping your stencil. I would never have thought of that and look at the gorgeous card I would have missed making. Wow! Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

You've done such a splendid look with the brusho & stencil technique. These flowers are perfect to say "Hot sunny summertime". It's a beautiful card. I love the black and gold embossed technique you did on the 2nd card too. (equally gorgeous). I'd never thought to try that, but it did give a wonderful effect on the sentiment! Well done on both cards! TFS & Hugs
