Let It Go.....

Inspiration for today's card came from the Copper Tree behind our house.
Although.... we still have magnificent  red's, yellows and orange colours
on our Autumnal trees it's the Copper one that inspired me.
For the background I have used Lindy sprays in copper
and brown colours with mica, which of course are not showing up well.
I used several different stencils for the layering effect on the background.
The main leaves have been heat embossing in gold.
Finishing off with stamping the sentiment and a few splats.
The distress inks and the oxides covered the background sprays really well.
The CAS Watercolour Challenge this month is celebrating their 1st Birthday....
Happy First Birthday and Thank you for the fun and inspirational Challenges.
The CAS Mix Up Challenge is Stamping, Layering Stencils
and my choice is splats, sprays and heat embossing.
Both great challenges, with very creative, friendly and inspirational design teams...
I enjoyed playing with stencils, sprays and splats and of course getting inky.
The challenge for me is to use mix media...which I love and keeping it CAS.
If you want to see how to do it fabulously well then pop across to the challenges x

Thank you so much for finding time to stop by...I really do appreciate it.
Crafty Hugs x
Challenges I would love to enter.....
The CAS Watercolour Challenge - Fall leaves
The CAS Mix Up Challenge  - is Stamping, Layering Stencils
and my choice is splats, sprays and heat embossing.
Update...Thrilled to have been chosen as an Outstanding design...Thank you
The mood board had brown leaves on it, very much like ones in my garden.
Stamplorations - Sketch and Theme Challenge - I have gone with the theme
The Sentiment stamp is Stamplorations
Thrilled to have been chosen as a winner for my card...Thank you x

Beautiful layering of the stencils and lovely gold embossed leaves! I have those Lindy's sprays so can imagine the shimmer they give to the background. A great card for CAS Mix Up, but am I being dumb and not seeing any watercolouring for CAS Watercolour? If it's there, please let me know, as I love your card! Thanks for joining in with our challenges!! And thanks for the lovely compliments about our Design Teams!

Hi Susan thank you for your kind comments.....
I am the dumb one....I thought that Lindy sprays was a form of water colouring.
I thought the sprays where powders that where activated by water....
Please delete my entry.
I made the card pacifically for the challenge but I am always happy to learn that water and powders sprays is not a form of water colouring...
I am so very sorry and feel incredibly stupid x

This is simply gorgeous, Mac! I can imagine that the card looks even more beautiful and shinier in real life from the second picture. Many layers of the stencils and inks & sprays create the depth and richness behind the main leaves.
Don't feel bad about the CAS Watercolour Challenge entry. When I entered my card in CAS Mix Up Challenge a few months ago, I realized I forgot to use stamping a little later. But I didn't even know how to delete my entry so I left it there... ;-P Hideko

Wow Mac what a stunning card, your design is brilliant and such gorgeous metallic colours, I love it Kate x

Mac, you've got me second-guessing myself now - I wasn't thinking about the fact that Lindy's sprays are activated by water. So I've referred it to Bonnie and Loll for clarification. I will get back to you when I hear from them! It's good for us (the Design Team) when these things come up so that we can all be clear on what we're looking for in the entries.

All sorted now with what is watercolour and what isn't x
The CAS mix up and CAS water challenge have the friendliest, most creative and the most inspirational teams and I thank you for your continued inspiration x Lindy's are a watercolour, which I am glad of, as I love using them as sprays and powders with water brushes and also with gels etc. x

Sorry to cause all that confusion and extra work, Mac! I'm glad it's cleared up and we can have your card linked to both challenges! It was good for our Design Team to have that come up as we're now all more clear on what we're looking for!

Susan
