Wine Cork.....

Today's card is inspired by.......
Less is More Challenge to use a real object
and CAS-ual Fridays - Colour challenge of Kraft and white
Whilst drinking a glass of wine my real object came to me....
Use a cork....
Most wine comes with screw tops, so I went on the hunt for a cork.
I found one in our memory box from many years ago, so the idea
of making a Christmas card for DH was born....

The background has been done with alcohol inks, blending solution
and blowing with a straw to get the basic shape and spikes of the tree,.

I finished off with die cutting the 'Merry' sentiment,
which was a fun reference to 'drinking' the Wine.
Between the smell of the inks and blowing with the straw
I didn't need to drink wine, as I was quiet light headed anyway!

Fun card to make, with a memory for us both x
Thank you for finding time to stop by, I really do appreciate it.
Crafty Hugs xx
Challenges I would love to enter......
Less is More Challenge to use a real object
CAS-ual Fridays - Colour challenge of Kraft and white
Update...Delighted to have been chosen as a contender for this card...Thank you

Well that is a super unique idea and it turned out very well! I think I would be light headed too, because I suppose it would take me several tries to get the tree shape! So creative, thanks for sharing!

Well! I never, blowing with a straw is a new technique to me, but what a FABULOUS result, I love the corks as decoration, a perfect masculine card, love everything about it.

Mmmm off to try the straw, maybe with a bottle of wine LOL.

Clever YOU! What an awesome card you created here. Love the whole idea of the blown Christmas tree and genies use of the cork from an old wine bottle. Not the same now without them eh! Love how you popped the MERRY. Glad you didn't drink a bottle of wine to make this card otherwise the tree may have been slightly different. Enjoy one now the card is done M.

Fantastic card, Mac. Amazing job with the straw blown background. I did this technique once and never again because it made me light-headed and ill. The cork is a great touch. Thank you for joining us this week at Less is More. 😊 Trina

Wow, who can think of a Kraft color Christmas tree, and a cork for the tree? How creative and clever, Mac! I love the beautiful alcohol ink effect, and the way you die cut and layered the sentiment. A little gold at the edge of the cork is a nice finishing tough too! Hideko

Dang girl, your creativity knows no bounds! This is pure genius! Your straw blowing technique is so clever and it's such a beautiful Christmas tree design, so random and yet perfectly placed! The sentiment layered right into the alcohol design is amazing, so seamless and subtle, yet eye catching. I don't even know what to say about the cork... BRILLIANT!!! The touches of gold are the perfect finishing touch to one of my favourite Christmas designs of the year!! Amazing!! Sending hugs to you and hoping all is well :)
