Sending Love.......

Playing with Brusho's.....
Today's Card...
I have used the Stamplorations Two Blooms Stencil ....
I had to put on removable glue, as well as masking tape
to hold the stencil down, as it is so fine in places, for this technique.
I was concerned water would migrate underneath.

The stencil was then sprinkled with several shades of Brusho's
and sprayed with water.
The removal was a little tricky because of the glue etc
but I had to remove it as quick as I could.
I was really please as there was not much water seepage
and the colours blended so well.
Ironically there was no loose specks from the brusho's ...which is rare for me....
What did I do then?....free-hand splattered in ink!
I popped on this photo to show the reverse image...
I will be playing with this technique again x
Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

That is really beautiful! I at first thought this was a a stamp. It is a very nice stencil and you got great results with brushos and no seeping under, etc. TFS!

Beautiful Mac! LOVE this technique ... your flowers turned out amazing. The black splatters tie into the striped edging. Fantastic design! And now you have the second piece from the monoprint. Always great to get two images from one inking. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour! xx

Where are those speckles when you want them? This is AMAZING, Mac! Such a crisp stencil print and it's so pretty with the touches of black! The reverse is pretty too. Can't wait to see what you do with that! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at CAS Watercolour!

I had no idea this could be done with a stencil! Your flower should be framed!

OMG Mac, I am so impressed with how well your Brushos stenciled flowers turned out. I can't believe you used a stencil and not a stamp. I must try your technique. Was that a spray removable glue? What brand. I have never used before. TFS and joining us again Mac at CAS Watercolour. Hugs.

I'm amazed that you used Brushos with such control! I tried using them with a stencil once but the the seepage just ruined it. This is gorgeous.

Hi Nancy...I have tried sprays but find I can't always clean up the stencils that well (they stay sticky?) so I tried something new this time. I used Elmers repositionable glue stick. I am sure any brand would work but it was like a fine film which appears to have helped with the seepage. This was such an intricate stencil I honestly didn't think it would work. I will be trying this technique again x Thanks for stopping by x

Crumbs, Mac, you did that with Brushos?! It looks the same as a fine watercolor painting that someone spent, I don't know, a year a half creating! I've got to get my Brushos back out! Pinning!! Hugs, Darnell

Your stencilled flowers turned out beautifully! Wonderful layout too with the splatters, the striped strip down one side, and the sentiment overlapping the flowers. Thanks for joining us at CAS Watercolour.

That is awesome! I've tried this before and could never get it to work. Use of the glue all over the stencil is clearly the key. Wonderful vibrant colours and I love the bold black sentiment. Brilliant. Thank you for joining us at the HLS Watercolor Challenge. Jenny x
