Alphabet Dress....

Today's card was inspired by
It is week three, of four weeks of Birthday Celebrations!

Here is my interpretation of the challenge ..... My Alphabet Dress......
The dress was stamped in black ink
and with a mask I stamped the mini text on the bodice.
The Alphabet letters have been die cut,
with the 'Strong' word Sentiment cut from water-coloured card.
I finished with stamping  more text at the bottom to ground the figure.
so I will be linking up my card to their challenge too.

Windy and wild today, with a touch of snow,
so the only thing for it was to stay in and craft x

Grey, Pink and Copper....

I was playing with different colour combinations....
This is my card....

The inspiration for my card came from the die cut leaf shapes that looked liked hearts.
The leafs have been die cut and foiled in copper
and some over painted with metallic paints.

The flowers have been stamped and fussy cut.
I have used zig water-colours, copper heat embossing, metallic paints
and frantage on them.

The heart shape has been die cut and used as a mask.
I have used heat embossing, paint and ink splats in several different colours
to achieve the effect around the heart.

The card has been matted and layered and edged with heat embossing
and metallic paint.

Concord & 9th has a Love challenge this month so I will be linking up my project.
I have used two different Concord & 9th die cut sets and wildflower stamp set.

I enjoyed using different colour combinations and had fun.
Thank you for stopping by...

Sending Love.......

Playing with Brusho's.....
Today's Card...
I have used the Stamplorations Two Blooms Stencil ....
I had to put on removable glue, as well as masking tape
to hold the stencil down, as it is so fine in places, for this technique.
I was concerned water would migrate underneath.

The stencil was then sprinkled with several shades of Brusho's
and sprayed with water.
The removal was a little tricky because of the glue etc
but I had to remove it as quick as I could.
I was really please as there was not much water seepage
and the colours blended so well.
Ironically there was no loose specks from the brusho's ...which is rare for me....
What did I do then?....free-hand splattered in ink!
I popped on this photo to show the reverse image...
I will be playing with this technique again x
Thank you for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Check Mate.....

One Layer Card Today.....
Less is More Challenge this week is a One Layer Challenge
with a theme of Opposite Attracts....
My thinking......
Black is Opposite to White....
Tied this in with the game of Chess
And then
The Attracts part...The Queen and King
'Check Mate'
After water colouring the background and stamping
and embossing the King and Queen the fun started...

If this hadn't been a one layer challenge the die cut 'Love'
would have been stuck on.
So...I used the die cut as a stencil...
lets just say that some die cuts work well as a stencil and some don't....

I could have stopped at this stage, changed my idea or even stamped the word 'Love'
No...I was going to run with my idea.
I finished by using a 'chess' board design stencil and made it look like Washi tape.

Thanks for finding time to stop by...Always very much appreciated.

XOXOXO.....

Happy Valentines Day x
Here is today's card.....
I started with die cutting the bird and the branch from masking sticky paper.
I applied the mask and also used masking fluid to extend the branch.

I used Zigs for the water coloured background.
The sentiment has been stamped with grey ink and
the top left enhanced with grey zigs and pearlescent.

I was inspired by the PaperArtsy Challenge - Masks
and this glorious creation.....
My colour inspiration is from Rubber Dance - Pink/Green/Grey
And
My style of CAS with a Love theme from CAS Watercolour Challenge
Another fun day.
Trying my best and learning all the time with water colouring
and masking techniques.
Thank you for stopping by....Always appreciated.

Joy.....

Today's card is a take on a MUSE card form
MUSE: Christmas Vision Challenge
Update...Thrilled to have received a February Star with this card...Thank you.
I loved joining in your challenge x
This is my card.......
This is the MUSE card by Chriss Blagrave
The first thing I saw was the wonderful large sentiment
and the the glorious background with the cute images.
All pulled together with the gold.

I focused on the image with the least prominence and that for me was the holly
and made it the star...
Instead of the large sentiment I made it the Large Holly.
I kept with Chriss's colours of red, gold and green.
I still used the gold embossing and the word Joy, only smaller.

The background was stamped in shades of grey to keep the focus
on the coloured Holly.
The holly has been stamped, heat embossed in gold and water-coloured with zigs.
Glossy accents was added to the berries and a white hi-lighter pen to finish.
I loved CASEing Chriss's card and great to make a Christmas card for the box.

Thank you for finding time to stop by.

Amazing.....

Playing with my Alcohol inks again....
I think they are amazing and you just never know what you are going to get....
I mixed colours that where adjacent on the colour wheel.
I really didn't want to cut into it but I did!
This is my card.....

I layered up the square link die several times in white and gold
and off set the last layer very slightly to show the hint of gold.
I wasn't keen on the white or gold framing, as it detracted from
the Alcohol ink colours,
so that's why I finished with the frame that I did.
The sentiment is die cut in gold and white linen
and the 'Love is' stamped and heat embossed in gold.

My colour inspiration is from Less is More Challenge... Colour Challenge
I shall be linking my card up to their fun challenge.
Use three adjacent colours on the Colour wheel
They are also celebrating their 6th birthday....
So......... Happy Birthday x
Thank you for all your inspiration x

I think the colours I've used are very passionate so I will be joining the challenge

Love is in The Air..

Today's card...
Thank you so much for the shout out at City Crafters for my card x
I started by roughly tearing a hole in a piece of paper to use as a mask.
The text was then stamped into the hole to give me a rough edge.
The ink pen was stamped over it, embossed and the sentiment added.
I wanted it to look like one collage stamp.

The cute envelope was die cut.
The little hearts where cut from left overs, from a previous card
using the foam marbling technique.
I finished with a little doodling, splats and some glossy accents.
After splatting I thought it looked sort of like a heart
so helped it along by adding white splats!

City Crafter Challenge this week is S.W.A.L.K...
Use an envelope or letter....
I of course read it wrong and put on SWAK....
As the challenge was my starting point and inspiration for today's card
I am hoping you will chuckle at this? x

I think my card would be classified as CAS ...as it has open space and limited layers

Love Inspiration......

Today's card was made with  love.....
Update...I am super excited to be given 'An Inspiring Stand out' at
'Inspired by All The Little Things Challenge'...Thank you so much xx
When I saw the inspiration photo at Inspired by all The Little Things
I immediately thought of a stamp that I had for ages and never used...
I know my interpretation is very literal but just had to run with it....
The stacked wood stamp was stamped and then water coloured.
The LOVE has been stenciled with black paste and hi-lighted with gold paint.
The heart has been die cut and glossy accents added with gold hi-lights.
The white is painted on and the die cut snowflake painted with pearl paint.

This is not a good photo but I wanted to show the background
corrugated card a little better.
The CS was stamped with a wood stamp image and then run through a crimper
.....which I had never used before, to give the effect of corrugated card.
It gives a fun texture...thank you to Nancy's DT card at CAS Mix Up.

To keep my card CAS it became tall and narrow,
so I will be linking up my card to AAA Cards - CAS-Shape Your Love Challenge
and
I have used stamping, corrugated card, stenciling and die cutting
and
