A dear friend of mine has a New Home so I made her this card,
inspired by a few challenges.
The sketchy houses have been stamped onto water colour card.
The stamp set is by Stamplorations and has never been used.
The background has been watercoloured carefully with Lindy's stamp gang powders.
They produce different and fun colours and are very versatile.
I haven't used the powders before either but I will in the future.
I found quite a few whilst organizing my room!
The picture above hopefully shows the subtle shine
and the slightly different colours.
The powders aren't as shiny as the sprays but you can use them in lots of different ways.....
Inspired by Darnell's NBUS challenge and the twist, I have die cut a hidden message.
I tried to line up the centre of the word Home with the red door.
The clear hearts on top of the house have been stenciled with clear paste.
Two thin strips of washi tape on the left and a simple stamped sentiment completes the card.
All the information is on Darnell's blog....
I am also linking up with

This is such a fabulous card! I love the background, really dramatic, and the fun houses. The hidden word is a great touch, and the strips of washi balance the design perfectly. Really gorgeous! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)
Brilliant card! Great design and I love how you've incorporated the hidden word in the image. xx
Adorable card--bet your friend is thrilled to have this!
Lovely card, and the faded technique looks great, I am yet to try this one, I see so many people using this nowadays!
Oh this is fabulous Mac - love how you have used the Lindy's powders and the very subtle die cut!!

Wonderful! How you managed to paint so carefully around those houses is amazing and I love the door and the clever hidden word ... The hearts are such a sweet touch... Brilliant work Mac!
What a neat card, I really like the subtle color differences in the sky and the hidden die cut is really neat!
Wow! This is just so brilliantly done Mac! I love your home sentiment peeking through the houses...I must try this technique out! :) I love your coloring on your houses too! Stunning design my friend and so happy to see your lovely creation in the STAMPlorations CAS card gallery my friend! HUGS
Totally smitten by your cards! Love that you stayed black on white with that tiny red accent from the door and heart! And so perfect, hiding your die cut in that little scene! - I really have to try that, too. Gotta make some time. My mojo is not what it usually is - smashed by Trumps :(
Gosh, this is a terrific card. The 'home' die cut is well camouflaged but adds a super bit of interest and texture. Your houses stamp is so fun and funky. Well done on a fab job of watercolouring too. Love it! Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Less is More xx
Hey sweet girl. I have subscribed to your blog, but somehow missed the last couple of posts - so happy I came by to check in on you! What an awesome project this is! I think row houses must be THE trend right now, and you've used these so beautifully. Big hugs, Autumn
WOW! these are amazing cards, I LOVE the colouring and the red door, an amazing effect with the die cut. Which means, I am even MORE pleased you are back with such fabulous results as this.

So much to love...the whimsical houses, the splash of red, the hidden word...just love it.
Fabulous highlighting on the one door with that bold bright red. Great job on hiding those hearts. Looks cool! Thanks for joining us for our CAS January Challenge at STAMPlorations.
Wow, love how you've used the stamps! Great alignment of the die word with the red door :)
OMG Mac...I LOVE every detail of your very creative card. Your watercolored background (thanks for 2nd photo), Hidden Word technique, uncolored houses, red door, sweet hearts and CAS design are a work of art. TFS Hugs..
Oho! Great card for the home! I look at her and think "it is night, it is dark around, everyone was asleep, I sleep well and I'm safe," I love the feeling that makes me this card.

This is such a sweet row of houses, Mac! Love that red door! A very classy card!
Well you are certainly back with a vengeance with two glorious cards. Love the pop of colour on the houses it really draws the eye in and I love the technique for stamping over the sentiment. Am sure it has some fancy name wish I could pull that off.
