Brother-In-Law

Today's card...along with a few challenges was inspired by my Brother-In Law.....
Here is my card.....
The background has been sprayed with mica sprays for glorious and pretty shine.
I stamped the red phone box with red archival ink and gave it a coat of glossy accents,
after colouring it in with paints..
The chevron and sentiment have been stamped with blue archival ink
and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
This is the inside of my card...
I have popped on the name of my Brother-In-Law Jim after stamping onto craft card.
The card is for Jim because he seems to only get in touch using texting and the I phone...
We keep telling him, whilst sitting in our house our I phone is off and to use the land line!!!!
There seems to be a healthy battle going on about this,
so I thought I would make him this card....
I hope he takes it in the spirit it is meant?

Challenges that inspired me to make this card.......
CAS Mix Up - Stamp + Marker + Heat Embossing
Cas-Ual Fridays - Red white and Blue
Curtain Call - Cherry Bomb Image
CASology - Chevron

LOL, what a fun story! Your BIL should get the message now (no pun intended). We are the same, mobiles off when we are at home (that's what the telephone is for) I LOVE those retro images you have used and especially the one on the inside - with those little hearts coming from it - a very symbolic card with clever design and great humour too! Have a lovely day! Hazel xx

That red booth really pops on the beautiful blue background, Mac. Great idea to add glossy accents to give it some shine. I'm sure Jim will laugh when he gets this card ... he'll probably call you on the land line. :) Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!

Brilliant card, I thought you were going to say he is a Dr Who fan but just doesn't use the landline. Anyone that calls my mobile I tell them being deaf I cant hear what they are saying and need to use landline with volume control. Pretend your going deaf!!!

Very witty...will file this idea away to use at a later date x Thank you x

I really like the telephone box stamp and it looks so realistic with the glossy accents on. It's not a stamp that I've seen before but it looks great against the blue background. Maybe your card will encourage Jim to use your landline! :) X

I LMBO reading the story of getting in touch by texting and his I phone. Technology is not always making things better; nothing beats a nice phone cal. Or even better: getting together and chat and laugh! Your card is gorgeous; I love your design!
