Congratulations ....

Hi....here is Today's card....
I have used the sponsors products Stamplorations over at CASology to make this CAS card.
Their challenge this week is Congratulations.....
I was inspired by the Card made by Shelly at Stamplorations CASEplorations June Challenge
I first noticed the gold ring and the delicate colours and flowers.
The 'Gold Ring' was achieved by stamping individual stamps and heat embossing.
I have used clear and gold embossing powder.
The stamp set is Frames and Flowers and comes with lots of individual small flowers
and leaves, which I made into the ring.
I continued the circle theme, inside the ring with the retro circles stencil, distress inks
and white gesso over the top.
I wanted the soft look of Shelly's card.
The larger flowers have been stamped from another Stamplorations set and lightly coloured.
I finished with stamping the Congratulations sentiment in black.
It took me awhile to get the card how I wanted it
but I got there and enjoyed learning along the way....and had fun.
Thanks for stopping by.

Hello There......

Happy Mail......
Update...I was lucky enough to get an Honourable Mention for my envelope from Rubber Dance...Thank you so very much xx
I have been doing some mixed media today and getting messy....
Here is my envelope project.
I started by masking off the areas and then spraying three different colours
I have used a floral stencil on the left, with white gesso sponged through it.
This gave the envelope another layer of detail which I liked.
The grasses and fun flowers have been stamped in grey archival ink.
I lightly brushed water over the stamped images and blotted to take off some of the ink
and then painted with white gesso to give me a good base to colour over.
I coloured in with various acrylic paints, a black ink pen and white highlights.
The 'stamp' has been stamped with black ink, masked and then a butterfly stamped on top.
After stamping the background of the stamp I lightly popped white gesso on it
and then finished by colouring in the butterfly.

Lastly I stamped the postmark and sentiments.
I was inspired by the colour choice and theme by the Rubber Dance Challenge

I had a lot of fun today and now need to make a card to put in it!!!
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Celebrate.......

Today's Card has been fun to do...
I splattered the background with shades of blue sprays using acetate
to control (a little) where the colour goes.
The butterfly has been done with a stencil and glitter embossing paste...ever such a  pretty effect.
The sentiment has been die cut, slightly raised and popped back onto the card.
I have popped on this card to show the beautiful effect of the sprays.
I have used Lindy's sprays..some have mica in them and some are flat colours.
They are so pretty.
Thanks for finding time to stop by x

Sunshine.......

Sending You Sunshine......
I was inspired by several challenges to make my card.
Here's my Card....
CAS Mix Up challenge is to use stamps, die cutting and one other choice...
my choice is masking and water colouring.
I do so enjoy mixing CAS with Mixed Media.

The Sunshine sunflowers have been stamped and masked using grey and yellow inks.
I have then stamped the black rectangle to allow me to spot water-colour the yellow sunflower.
I have stamped the sentiment in black archival ink, die cut the Sunshine sentiment,
raised it up onto foam and popped it back onto the card.
The card has been layered onto black card stock to finish.
Cupcake Inspiration Challenge inspired me to use The Sunflower

Technique......

One Layer and Technique...
Update...I was lucky enough to be Hi-Lighted over at One Layer Challenge for this card.
Thank you so much, I am delighted and thrilled x
Today's card is on one Layer using the faux bleach/Ghosting technique.
The background has been blended with several different colours of distress inks.
After popping the stencil on I lightly sprayed water
and blotted off the excess to produce the ghost flower image.
I popped the stencil back on and did some more blending
to achieve the look I was after in some pats.
I finished off with stamping the sentiment in black ink and flicking
splats in gold paint...although I am never sure if these show up in the photos x

Fond Memories....

Hello...So good to be back x
I loved my relaxing holiday and no blog holiday.
I missed all the very creative projects around Blog Land so much and missed being creative.
Thank you so much for the very kind and generous comments about my absence,
very much appreciated x

I was inspired by ......Inspired by All the Little Things to make today's card.
Many moons ago my husband and I took a trip to New York.
This inspiration photo instantly reminded me of Tiffany's and Diamonds!!!!
I saw the geometric fractured diamond in the flash bulb and the Tiffany Blue.
The photo at then end shows you what I got from my very memorable visit.
This is my card......
I started by covering white CS with Tiffany blue acrylic paint.
I then used a geometric stencil and silver embossing paste to represent the diamond in the photo.
The white sentiment is also a stencil and white embossing paste.
To achieve the circle and the camera image....
Die cut silver circles and layered.
The geometric shape within the circle has been achieved using the same stencil
and white gesso, sponged lightly onto the silver mirror card.
I stamped the camera, fussy cut and sentiment in blue archival ink
and layered the camera up after lightly colouring it in....in blue Tiffany paint.
I really love how the diamond, fractured looked.
I finished off with glossy accents, diamonds, washi tape
and more white embossing paste through a chevron stencil.
This is my gift from Tiffany's......
Yep a Tiffany mug and not a diamond!!!!
However.....I have the most fabulous memories of that trip.....
all captured memories in time xxx
I have loved this challenge, it has brought back the happiest of memories x
Thank You

Please excuse the photo of my card...it really is more like the the Tiffany Blue
in the inspiration photo and my mug in real life x
