Happy 2

Today's Card......

I used the various colours of sprays for the background card.
I popped on the Multifaceted creative screen stencil and lightly sponged on pigment ink.
However, this was too pale so I used a diluted white gesso with water,
sponged over the pigment ink, which worked really well.

The white gesso is matt against the shimmer of the mica sprays underneath,
which hi-lighted the pattern on the stencil much better.
I used a sprayed CS for the 'Happy' sentiment and stamped
and layered the 'birthday' sentiment in coral.
I finished the card with layered up pieces of the die cut under the Birthday sentiment.
I enjoyed doing this technique and had a fun and messy time again!

My first challenge........
Inspiration Image challenge......from Taheerah
I took my inspiration from the fabulous Art on the wall,
the Rose coloured glasses and champagne bottle.

I tried using my creative screening multifaceted stencil first, with embossing paste and acrylics.
Although it didn't work I had so much fun!!!
I then tried some free hand art onto CS.
I loved the texture from the embossing paste and the acrylic paints.
I really didn't want to cut into it, but I did...
I have loads left as my original piece of art is a large A4 size.....
I used my cutaway Multifaceted die and inlaid the fall out bits back into the die cut.
I cut into the die as I felt the art was abstract and this made it even more so.
I used the cutaway die 'Home', initially from black card stock
and then foiled it with Rose foil to represent
the rose coloured glasses and the champagne bottle.
I lightly painted grey onto the white card to represent the grey walls on the inspiration photo.
The card is so textural, abstract and I thank Taheerah and her inspiration photo
for taking me way out of my comfort zone and playing with 'Art'.
I had loads of fun on this one......

Happy..........

My Third Challenge......
Create a card incorporating Coral, Lime/chartreuse and aqua/light turquoise
I have made two cards, trying out different techniques...
I sprayed CS with the required colours for the challenge.
I randomly tore two of them and used my Multifaceted cutaway die for the third one.
I layered the Coral and Lime card, tore the die cut Aqua one and attached it to the Lime one.
I also used the die cut again as I wanted three Coral shapes to pop into the blue die cut die shape.
I sprayed CS with Aqua and Lime and die cut the 'Happy' sentiment, finishing off with a few sequins.
Grungy feel to the card with modern colours.

 My Second Card.......
I used the same colour sprays again for the background card.

Tag....Thanks....

My goodies came in the post from
Winnie & Walter on Saturday morning...
'Just' in time for me to enter their challenges...

These are my goodies...
One Cutaway Die, One Stencil and four word dies.
These are the supplies that I have used for the challenges.
My personal challenge was to use just these supplies..and I very nearly did it!

My Fourth Challenge......
and
I have made this tag using Rainbow Colours.....
I have used the Multifaceted Cutaway Die using Gold CS.
I popped the die cut onto corrugated card that I made a frame for, using die cut rectangles.
I attached this onto Kraft card and heat embossed the edges in gold Embossing Powder.
I used distress inks and blended onto CS for the rainbow effect and again used
the cutaway Multifaceted die and in-laid the shapes back into the die.
I started the rainbow from the bottom up as the cutaway die cut 'Thanks' looked better over these colours. The 'Thanks' has been layered up and edged with gold embossing powder on the top.
The tag has been finished off with black and gold ribbon
and a heat embossed, hole punched circle at the top.

Wanted to finish off to say..........that with my small stash of goodies
and my mind is still racing with lots more ideas...so much to do and so little time......
I can't wait to buy more, as the quality of the die cuts is fabulous, so very modern in design and such fun to 'play' with. Missed having stamps.......so that's next x
I know you didn't have to use 'all' Winnie & Walter products but I tried really hard to!!!
I thank you for the inspiration in your challenges, for making me 'play',
get messy, stretch myself and have fun...loved it! x
Thanks again.

Happy Birthday......

Today's card........
Can't believe it's heading towards the end of February...where did that go?
I have been inspired by several challenges to make this card......
I have used distress inks and stamped using the embossing folder for the background.
This technique was inspired by the challenge over at Happy Little Stampers - CAS challenge.
I have used a stencil for the black flower stems, which  has been embossed with
black embossing paste. The flowers have been hi-lighted with glossy accents.
I like the matt and shiny look, so I have left the leaves and stems matt.
The sentiment is a HLS stamp and the tiny hearts have been hi-lighted with red glossy accents.
I loved trying this new technique and now have lots in my stash for future use.

No Man........

Today's Card.....
Update- I was lucky enough to get a Top Pick for this card at
Stamplorations sketch and theme challenge-Thrilled...Thank you so very much x
I used a flourish stencil and black embossing paste.
Once this was dry I popped on glue and Gold Mica Flakes.
The red hearts have been stamped, fussy cut and glossy accents added to them.
I popped them onto foam.
I stamped the sentiment, which I absolutely love....
It came in the post this week and if you are lucky then I think it's the perfect sentiment x
This is not a good photo but wanted to show the glossy effect on the hearts.
The card is CAS with texture.

Fashion ........

Today's Project.......
Took quite a few days to complete but I enjoyed learning what mediums re-acted to each other.
I wanted the project to represent France and this gave me the inspiration to use
the colours of their flag...Red, White and Blue.

The background has been sprayed with several shades of Blues and Reds
and some with Mica in them.
After masking the 'spotlights' I lightly brushed with Gesso, stamped with text
and different sizes of butterflies in both blue and white.
The hearts on the left have been stamped, masked and heat embossed.
The Red hearts have been fussy cut, blended with red inks and hi-lighted with Glossy Accents.
The models have been stamped and hi-lighted with white gesso (several times) and a black pen.
I have used enamel powder with glitter on the top and bottom of the project.
The photo never does this justice as its so textural, bright, grungy and yet sparkly all at the same time.
So very messy to use and so worth it.
The 'Fashion' letters have been stamped, heat embossed, cut and layered up onto foam.
France...Paris...Fashion
Learnt lots with this project and had lots of fun along the way

Negativity......

A few challenges inspired me to make this card.....
The background has been stamped with Mono-chromatic colours
and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
This allowed me to spray with a light brown spray.
There are also brown and gold splats and the edges blended with distress inks.

I cut out three keys with a die and made my first shaker card.
I popped in different colours of seed beads, which I thought looked masculine.

The bottom right hand side has a die cut layered lock on it,
which has been heat embossed with copper, which gives a vintage look to it.
I stamped a key, three times, with shades of brown onto shrink plastic, heated it
and attached them to some brown twine.
The size of the key shrank to fit the lock at the bottom right hand side..A happy accident.
The ends of the twine have heated embossing powder on them.
I finished off with some copper heated enamel at the bottom of the card.

Today's Card.....
Update..I got an Honourable Mention for this card at CASology-
Thrilled and delighted-thank you so very much x
CASology Challenge is Egg...
I was inspired by Ardyth's Card...
What came first, the Chicken or the Egg????
So I made this witty card.

The background is Brusho's.
The chick stamp is The sponsors Stamplorations...
Although you wouldn't recognise it under the egg shell!
The shell has Mega Flakes on it.
The sentiment is computer generated...I didn't have this one in my stash!!!
I also made the card so it would be confusing to open!
I have a friend who will think this is funny!

Grungy Love ......

I have been making this card over the past couple of days and have been really enjoying myself.
Messy and layering and something different for me .....
The background has been layered with paints, sprays, powders, stamping and mega flakes.
I hadn't used sprays and powders together before but I have learnt that
so long as the sprays are very dry first they played nicely together.

First time for me...to stamp with white and black acrylic paints..it won't be my last.
Used the Misti to get a really deep black stamp impression with the
'Love Is' stamp using Versa Fine Black ink.
The edge of the card has been heat embossed in gold EP
and the outer card layer grunged and hi-lighted with gold, red and black metallic paints and waxes.

I finished off by die cutting the sentiment and using aged black and gold embossing enamel
on the letters and on the card around the sentiment.
Even though it fly's everywhere I love this stuff! (even heating from underneath).

I loved how the Gold Mega Flakes looked with the flourish stamp in the corners,
down the right hand edge and hi-lighting parts of the Love Is stamp.
Parts of the card are shiny and parts flat and I like that effect.
I tried to achieve the layers by not using stencils (which I love)
but trying new techniques with paints, stamping, etc.
I had fun!

Journey.......

Today's Project.....
Update...I was lucky enough to get a top six with this tag at Try it on Tuesday...
Thank you so much, thrilled and delighted x
The red tag has been spritzed and smooshed with shades of red paints and inks.
I have used a 'Tyre' stencil and black embossing paste over it.
The vintage cars, chevrons and sentiment have been stamped in black archival ink.
The edges have been blended in black and the cars hi-lighted in white ink pen.
The Kraft tag....
I have used a stencil and white stencil paint through it, blending black ink to achieve a light grey colour.  The bottom edge has been done using a stencil and black embossing pate.
The vintage vehicles, sentiment and the man have been stamped in black ink
(great to over stamp with my new (Misti).....
I have blended the edges in black and used a white hi-lighter pen to finish.
The front vellum tag....
Versa-marked an embossing folder and gently pressed it onto the vellum.
Heat embossed in white. I tried actually embossing it but it was having none of it!
The top of the tag has the same treatment as the bottom of the kraft one.
Layered the three tags up onto corrugated card, that was heat embossed, on the edges in white.
Fun crafty day today
