Enjoy Today

Here is my card for today......
Update..I was lucky enough to have been a random winner at Stamplorations CASEplorations-
With for this card...Thank you very much x
The bird has been die cut and stamped with a Newsprint stamp and the edges hi-lighted in black ink.
The sentiments have been stamped and hi-lighted with coloured glossy accent colours.
I have used the stencil with black and silver embossing paste and masked it off as I went.
The bird has been popped up onto foam to give a little extra dimension.

The theme and sketch Challenge at Stamplorations is Newsprint and stamping or/and the sketch.
I have gone with the theme of Newsprint and stamping.
I have also CASE'd a card from The Stamplorations Case Challenge.
I picked out the colours from the bird of Suchi's card and
the clever idea of colouring in some of the text sentiment.
Take a look at Suchi's Cardstock blog here...

Fun in The Snow

The theme over at Cardz4Guyz is ..... Fun in The Snow.
I am fortunate to be their guest designer again this week.
I was struggling with this one as I don't have Animal/People/Fun/Cutey type of stamps etc
and haven't ventured into the Digi world, so I have come up with this idea.......
I made a templates with card to do the hills. They have been mounted onto foam to give dimension.
The blue embossing is Frantage Shabby Blue.
The icicles have been stenciled with glitter paste.
The clouds are stamped and Glossy accents added to them.
The snow ball has been covered with white puffy paint and heated...such fun!
The tag holder is parts of a cocktail stick, with silver embossing on each end.
The Elf's legs have been stamped and painted with starlight paints, which are super shiny.
The tag has been edged with silver EP.

The layout is a sketch from Happy Little Stampers

CAS Card......Hero.......

HERO........................
Addicted to CAS challenge this fortnight is .......Code Word:Hero
I was inspired to make this card for the challenge.
Just Us Girls Challenge is Use Water Colour somewhere  in your project so that inspired me to use
Brusho's for the background and sprayed with water.
The Poppy has been die cut from black CS and I stamped in a few birds.
'Hero' made me think of Remembrance and Poppies symbolise that for me.
I initially left the sentiment off as I hoped the card spoke for itself and was more CAS
What do you think?...The sentiment is stuck on temporarily at the moment x
Thank you

Enjoy The Journey ......

Here is my project for 'Guest Designer'
Thank you for inviting me this week to do a project for your blog x
The theme this week is Trains, Planes and Automobiles.
The background is Bistre's, stamping, stenciling, embossing, embossing paste and a white gel pen.
The sentiment has been stamped onto a separate Bistre's CS and cut out individually.
I have used copper EP around the edges of the brown card layer
and Mahogany EP around the corrugated card edges.
A family member is retiring shortly so I have made this with him in mind.

CAS Santa...............

Two challenges inspired me to make this card.
The card had to be Festive, CAS, Santa theme and be on one layer.
Update .... I madeHeadliner at The Paper Players for this card...
Thank you so much absolutely delighted and thrilled x
This is my card.
I masked and used distress inks to blend inside the square.
I die cut the mittens to use as a stencil, using red pigment ink.
I used white puffy paint for the top of the mittens.
I hadn't used this before and it is fun.
The pegs have been stamped with a very cute stamp and I drew in the clothes line.
I used my dipping pen and white pigment ink for the snow and also stamped a few snowflakes.
The sentiment has been stamped in black ink.

The card is Festive, CAS, Santa Theme and on one layer,
so I would like to enter my card into the two challenges .......

Clean and Simple........

                   Thinking of You........
Update...Thrilled and delighted to  have been given an Honourable Mention
at The Male Room for this card...Thank you so much xx
The weather today is really miserable, so I have had a day of crafting.
This is my card....
I started with stamping the Poppy onto CS and heat set with clear EP.
I stamped again on a piece of scrap paper to use as a mask.
I also masked off a strip vertically over the Poppy mask.
Black embossing paste was used through a brick stencil.
I used red mica paints to colour the poppies.
It has such a pretty shine to it.
Once dried I used a black and white pen to hi-light the poppies and stamped the sentiment.
Crafty Hugs x

I used the Poppy for what it represents and not as a flower as such, so thought it really perfect for a male card for the challenge this fortnight.

This time of year is the time we all Remember and not for one particular memory but remembering the horrors of war. My card represents that with the use of the Poppies as a symbol.

Artplorations-Stencil Blog Hop
Link up projects where you used stencils (any brand).
It can be any type of project, even non-card ones.

I have added another photo of my card, as I decided to pop another layer on it,
as it was starting to go wobbly from the embossing paste and stencilling.

Stag Tag........

I had fun with this one, using lots of different mediums.........
Here is my Stag Tag
Absolutely delighted, Amazed and thrilled to be a top three in Loll's Christmas Tag extravaganza-
How Lucky am I xx Thank you very much xx
I have used..........
Inka Gold in Platinum and Mint Green for the 'sky' and some of the flowers.
Starlights paint in Silver, Platinum and Menthol for some of the flowers, some of the leaves and the Stag, Wood embellishment.
Frantage Shabby Green and Shabby White for some the leaves.
Finnabair Snowflake Dimensional Paste for the snow Mountains.
Imagination Crafts Diamond Sparkle Medium for the shards of Icicles, through a stencil.

I liked how the Inka Golds blended when swooshed for the 'sky' and some of the leaves.
I also added texture to the 'sky' using a palette knife.

The Poinsettia flower and leaves have been die cut from Card, Mirror Card
and Vellum to give different textures.
I drew in the pine trees and hi-lighted with a white pen.

The stag is a wood embellishment painted in Silver Starlights, which covered really well.
I popped in shiny beads from my stash to the centers of the poinsettias.
The corrugated card was finished off with silver embossing around the edges.
There's lots of texture, shine, different mediums, time and fun that went into this tag.
I loved the tone on tone colours of the tag and how the different mediums played well together.
I thought the Stag was looking at the star and was making a wish x

I wanted to show you this photo of the first background I did out of the Inka's...
It ended up looking like a scene, maybe a tree trunk on the left hand side?
Absolutely purely accidental after doing the swooshing!
Anyway....I couldn't use it as I thought I may use it another time as a starting point for a card?

I recently bought a Stag for Christmas and thought these where fun photos to pop on my post x

This is well and truly a Mixed Media Christmas Tag

Thanks..........

Here is today's card..........
Update...I have received an Honourable Mention with this card from CASology...
Thank you so much, absolutely delighted x
I die cut the leaf out of a card that I had sprayed with several of Lindys' stamp gang sprays,
a couple with mica in them.
I popped on black distress inks around the edges.
I die cut the leaf twice...one in gold mirror card, as the die cuts with an outline.
The sentiment and surround have been embossed with gold EP.

I covered the leaf with glossy accents and left to dry overnight.
The leaf is gloriously shiny but the colours have pretty much blended together,
as they re-acted to the liquid glossy accents.
I still very much like the effect but wonder why I had used several sprays
and fussed quite so much on the background!

I popped on the sequins and splattered some gold mica paint to finish.
I popped on this photo as you can perhaps just see a couple of different colours on the leaf?
and this photo shows the glorious effect of the glossy accents...

More Than One Fold

Today's card........
This is my card for.... Card4Guyz Guest Designer for this week
The challenge is More Thank One Fold.
I hadn't realised but I hadn't made a card that had more than one fold in it before!

The CS has been sprayed with three different shades of purples, two with mica in them.
I used black embossing paste, through a stencil for the film strip to add texture.
For the birthday sentiment I stenciled through individual letters with purple distress ink
and hi-lighted with a white pen.
I added Gold...Inka Gold to some of the black raised embossing paste text
and some of the hardware.
The Inka gold covered the metal really well.
The edges where finished with black distress ink.
I scored and folded the card and was really pleased that the embossing paste did not crack!

I am entering the card into the following challenges.......
City Crafter Challenge-Dye It...create a card or project using dies, stencils, inks, paints...Anything you want but No stamping and No DP

I used eyelets, wire, screw head, metal beads and findings...Inka Gold, Mica and Starlight Paints.
