Still learning about Pigment Powders at The Paper Artsy Blog here
My inspiration has come from 2015 #17 Brusho Cards by Catherine Johnson
at PaperArtsy Blog
Take a look its super CAS
It inspired me as using pigments can also be clean and simple and restrained.
My other inspiration is from the photo inspiration at The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge
The right hand side of the project
is to represent the green wood on the inspiration photo.
I used a bark/tree stencil and embossing paste to represent this.
I added water to pigment powders and sprayed them over the paste.
I stamped the 'circles' and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I took the circle idea and the colours from the photo inspiration.
The stamps are JOFY 09 set from PaperArtsy
I coloured in the circles using Brusho's as watercolours.
When you heat emboss the circles with EP the brusho's and
water stay within the lines and become much more controllable.
I finished off by stamping the sentiment from the same stamp set
and clear embossed it.
I also sprinkled and heated shabby white embossing enamel from underneath.
These are the two projects from the inspiration to see
the similarity but I thought quite different in style.
Learning all the time about Pigment powders.
I find that creating with Brusho's is mostly be chance,
mostly unpredictable and mostly a lovely surprise!
I have loved the inspiration on The PaperArtsy blog with the Pigment Theme.
There has been so many clever and creative uses for them.
Hope to get some Bistre's now .........
