Butterflies and A Happy Hello

Twofer challenge this month is Butterflies and these are my cards......
I used the same Butterfly stamp on both of my different occasions cards.
The 'Beautiful You' card is a Birthday card and the other one a 'Happy Hello'....
I have used stencilling, stamping, fussy cutting, heat embossing, mica paints
and smooshing on my Birthday card.
I have used distress inks and oxides activated and smooshed with water, stamping, heat embossing, vellum, fussy cutting, stencilling and die cutting for my Hello card .....
Combining the burlap distress inks and oxides produced some unexpected and fabulous colours.
The butterflies were stamped and heat embossed onto vellum.
Lots of dimension, texture and elements on the background....
I so enjoyed making two different designs, for two different occasions
and using the same butterfly stamp.....I used the small butterfly stamp on both of my cards.
Thank you all so much for your very kind and friendly comments about my MIL Betty,
in my last post........They are so gratefully received.
Please take care out there.....
Challenges I would love to enter....

My Happy Hello Card........

I so enjoyed finding time to play with the inks and the oxides and I had fun....

Always AMAZED when I see your designs, Mac! These two are no exception. Love the details you've added to your stenciled girl. The gorgeous blue watercolouring for her dress and butterfly hair clip, the pretty silver embossed butterflies with more die-cut butterflies on top as if they are coming out of the dress. Febulous!

Gorgeous soft colours for your second card. I have not experimented with my DOX inks enough ... you inspire me, my friend! Love the mix of soft subtle colours over top of the white embossing and stenciling. Your butterflies are gorgeous with heat embossing over vellum. And lots of dimension with your leaves and leaf outline die-cuts. So much goodness going on ... I could stare at these cards for hours! xx

I am always so excited when I see you have posted a new card and today it is two so double excitement. Your cards are never a disappointment and these are no exception. I just don't know how you do it. Both these cards are superb and what an amazing butterfly stamp that is. The blue card is stunning, wonderful use of the butterflies and great placement of the sentiment. Your second card has a real elegance to it. The detail and elements on the background are something else and yet at the same time it has a simplicity to it which is fantastic. I love them xx

WOWZER!! Both of your butterfly projects here are outstanding Mac! LoVE the dimension you've brought about with the wings lifted on both of these projects! They're both so elegant looking with your delicate and intricate details too! Both are masterfully done and I thank you for the inspiration!

Beautiful Butterflies, love the delicate veining. YOur gal with the butterflies dancing along the card edge with one in her hair is lovely. Your second card is quite nice as well. Lovely designs! Thanks for playing along at Twofer #29.

I love these Mac (but I guess you knew I would). I like the frothy blue (- Bardot style dress maybe?) and her matching butterfly hair slide and your second card is full of movement and is stunning! x

I'm sorry, Mac, but I don't think you have used enough different techniques and talent for design when you created these two rather blah cards. NOT!!! Just when I think you cannot amaze me any more than you already have, you take your creations to yet another beautiful textured level! I think everything that can be said has been said, but I'll double it!! You give a whole new meaning to card art, my friend. If your work hasn't been published ~ and often ~ I'd like to know why not!! Thank you for the brilliant inspiration and for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #29! Keep well. Hugs, Darnell

And here I am AMAZED again Mac...your artists eye sees and creates more than my brain can even fathom! Both of these cards are absolute STUNNERS!! Your gal with the butterfly in her hair makes me wish I was about 30 or 40 years younger and had long hair to wear a style like that...don't think it would quite have the same effect with my short, short gray hair! Haha!! I love the DOX and DI together too...boy do they react beautifully together!! And your 2nd card is as beautiful as the first! LOVE LOVE all that embossing on the vellum butterflies and all the detail that stands out! Thank you so much for sharing these lovely, lovely cards with us at The Twofer Challenge...we love seeing you in the gallery!! :0)

So happy to hear from you today - and very glad it nudged me into doing some catching up. I wouldn't have wanted to miss this double. The delicate white gold shimmer of the butterflies is lovely, and that background is beyond stunning! So delicate and subtle in its chalky colour tones, with the white text hovering - I'm in love!

The blue ones are charming too, and the silvery row of butterflies is very appealing - but the neutral one has stolen my heart.

what I will write will not be original, because I absolutely join the delighted choir of my predecessors. Your cards are original, so unique, so surprising and innovative. Your mind works on such extraordinary waves that what you create is a signpost for us, where real art begins. Lovely two cards, but the second one left me speechless. These colors, shapes, patterns and butterflies ... like precious jewelry. Thank you for sharing these gems with us.
Stay safe. Big hugs for your MIL Betty and husband.
Hugs, have a nice Sunday.

Wow, Mac ... what a stunning duo! Your butterfly adorned girl is so elegant ... and the butterflies look like jewelled brooches ... how glorious! The soft, subtle shades on your hello card complement the gold embossed vellum butterflies perfectly ... goodness, this is just so dreamy! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

You always amaze me with your gorgeous cards, Mac! These butterfly twofers are no exception. What a wonderful idea to use one of the blue butterflies for the lady's hair accessory! Her eye make-up is totally echoing the butterflies. Love the contrast between the lighter sketch of the top half and the bottom half filled with Mixed Media elements.
The butterflies that are heat-embossed on vellum look like they're made of sheer fabric. They're simply stunning! And the background is so exquisite that I want to enjoy it as a whole instead of analyzing how it's made. Thank you for your fantastic inspiration!

Two amazing cards! I'm so impressed by how you made such drastically different cards using the same butterfly. The one with the woman is so beautiful with the gorgeous shades of blue backing the border of butterflies and the use of the butterfly as a hair clip - so imaginative! And the other one is almost ethereal in the muted colours with the vellum butterflies.

What a gorgeous set of butterflies, so intricate and pretty Mac and the two cards using them are so innovative and beautiful. That wonderful stencilled lady with her butterfly hair clip and the pretty array of butterflies below, with some fussy cut and added to enhance it even more and what super blue tones, then that wonderful emboss resist in the background of the second and love the different leaves and three more very prettily embossed onto vellum. You are so clever with your techniques! x

!!! Those butterflies are delightful, think you just added to my NEED list! Your cards are so creative and different, the first one with the blue botton and then just a touch of blue on the woman's eyelids is so pretty and feminine. Your second card has your name all over it so much attention to the little details like the positive and negative spray behind the large butterfly. The note about mixing Distress inks and Oxide inks is very interesting, I don't have any oxides (yet) but suspect this is another idea I will have to explore. Your cards are always showstoppers and these are both stunning. Thank you dearest friend for all your creativity, support and encouragement to me and everyone else you love and support here in craft land. xx

I have no idea why I missed this duo, my reader list seems to be playing tricks on my and hiding many treasures, so glad I checked before heading out today to see not one but two delightful posts.
A beautiful display I see before me, love the lady stencil and the mix of deep and bright blue Butterflies that have befriended her but my heart is very drawn to the delicate watercolour hues of the second card *sigh* there's always a pleasing result when embossing on vellum it gives so much life and spring to those Butterflies... It's a very HAPPY hello from me today!! Hugs Tracey xx
