Beautiful You....

Today's card has been inspired by a few challenges.
I've had fun with a Stencil and Water colouring......
Here's My Card.....
CAS Stencil challenge is to use Sprays and CAS Watercolour is Colourful Butterflies.....
I sprayed the Face stencil with Black 'Flat' spray from Lindy's, onto watercolour card.
I then flipped the stencil over and pressed it onto another card to use at a later date.
I have used several shimmer green sprays from Lindy's for the bottom of the card,
applying with a water brush directly from the bottle.
The same with the 'eye shadow' and the stamped fussy cut butterfly.
The gold butterflies have been stamped and heat embossed.
The butterfly stamps along the bottom are by Stamplorations.
The butterfly in the hair is by Clearly Besotted.
Finishing off the card with gold perfect pearls and a little doodling.
In the interest of honesty......I made this card twice........
If you look at the photo on the left you will see 'grey' smudging at the top of her head.
Getting progressively worse with the photo on the right....
My advice with using sprays through a stencil.....
Leave alone and keep fussing to a minimum, as not to re-activate the spray!

I hope you've managed some crafty time this weekend
and thank you so much for finding time to stop by.
Challenges I would love to enter.....
Watercooler Wednesday - Dawn's All About Occasions
My card is for a dear friends birthday
Take It Make It - Craft Stamper - Anything goes so long as it includes stamping
The stencil and the stamps are by Stamplorations
Paperbabe Challenge- They are celebrating their 100th Challenge with a 'Gold' theme.....

Stamplorations - Never ending Anything goes - The stencil and stamps are by Stamplorations

Super artsy card Mac. I love the butterfly as perhaps a cloisonné barrette? Fun techniques.

The butterfly in your hair is amazing. I love the color savings in this card. Green is a symbol of spring and youth, just like this girl. A awesome card.

So striking! What a wonderful image! Love the butterfly in the woman's hair, and the corresponding border of butterflies at the bottom. And great idea to have the black reverse image from the stencil to use for another card.

She is incredible, Mac - but more incredible is the way you have colored the green areas - almost like a spotlight technique on CAS! This really should be framed. It's amazing, beautiful, soft, bold, feminine -- all in one! Thank you for the inspiration! hugs, de

Your cards are absolutely gorgeous, Mac! I love the contrast of the flat black spray with the lovely shimmer of the green spray...so striking! Your butterflies are so pretty, too...especially the one you placed on her hair! I can't wait to see what you create with the black and white panel :)

Elegant Pensive Faces Stenciled image, Mac. I love how you used your spray and then got a monoprint when you flipped over your stencil and pressed the image to get another image with all the leftover ink for a future project. Love your monochromatic color scheme with your black, white and greens. Wonderful butterfly border and butterfly hair adornment. So creative and beautiful, my friend. TFS and joining us at CAS Stencil. Hugs...Nancy

She is AMAZING!! The versatility of stencils is endless, love how you duplicated her by using up all that left over spray. Beautiful colour combo of green and gold along with the dimensional Butterfly within her hair is a real delight to my eyes. Having a passion for faces so you must know how I adore her. She would sit very very well in our GOLD Paperbabe Stamps Challenge this fortnight.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead creative hugs & wishes Tracey xx

Oh my she is absolutely gorgeous Mac!! LOVE the magical shimmer in the green sprays for sure! The popped up butterfly in her hair makes her looks more amazing too! Love that you've embossed the butterfly border at the bottom! Yes, I tend to be a fussy maker myself and always smudging things!! :) Thank you for the inspiration!! I love it!

Beautiful, Mac! It took your "honesty" for me to see a smudge! This is so gorgeous with the outline face, green eyeshadow and butterfly, all framed in with the green and gold on the bottom -- wow!

So striking, Mac. You sure did this beautiful stencil justice. Love the unexpected green, the butterfly and all that shimmer! With all the amazing details, what smudge? xx

Jo said...

Gorgeous Mac, Love how you got two cards with the positive and the negative. So very creative you are, both are spectacular xx

Words and Pictures said...

Great results with the spray-stencilled image (my results generally end up pretty messy when I spray through a stencil - which is fine for the grungy mixed media look, but would never work for CAS - your grey smudge is nothing compared to some of my imperfections!) and I adore the ghostly reverse printing - look forward to seeing what journey that takes.

The green and gilded butterflies are lovely, in 2D and 3D - a really well-designed, eye-catching card.

So dramatic and striking, Mac ... the bright green is fabulous with the gold ... and I love that butterfly 'comb'! Maybe Miss Smudge will end up with a tint in her hair?! Hugs, Anita :)
