Blue Cool Dude

Today's masculine card has been inspired by a few challenges.....
I have used Uniko stamps from three different stamp sets.
The sets, I think, lend themselves towards masculine cards.
They have been stamped in shades of grey and the main sentiment heat embossed.
The die cut cool dude has been water coloured and then crackle glazed over the top.
Stencilling and water colouring at the bottom in blues and greys.
I enjoy making masculine cards and this one is going to my nephew.

Thank you for stopping by....

Twofer Challenge

The fun challenge over at Twofer this month is Bees....
This is where the inspiration took me....
Two different occasion cards using the same Die Cut 'BE' letters and not a Bee in site.....
I so enjoy joining in Darnell's Challenges but I like to be unconventional,
which you don't have to be, to join in and normally by the time I have thought of an idea
and executed it I have missed the deadline.....NOT this month......
The eyes have been stamped with Visible Image stamps.
The eye shadow with water colours and the gold eye liner with liquid pearls.
Die Cut 'BE' sentiment has been done in foil, the black part of the sentiment
in clear embossing and the gold 'fabulous' triple embossed in gold.....
The stamped sentiment is by Stamplorations....
One colour of alcohol ink in slate on Yuppo for the background.
Lots of rubbing alcohol and swishing around.
Layering of the die cut sentiment and liquid chrome and clear nail varnish.
I had a tidy of my nail varnishes and thought I would give it a go....
Silver foil on the background to mop up the tacky parts.
Die cut leaves and a frantage little heart to finish.

I so enjoyed the challenge and had lots of fun 'playing' in my craft room.
The face card is for a friend, who has just been promoted....
Thank you so much for finding time to stop by ....I really do appreciate it x.
Challenges I would love to enter.....

With both cards

The BE Strong card.....

CAS Mix Up June reminder post

Time for a reminder of the CAS Mix Up Challenge, which is Ombre....
I am thrilled to be hosting it. The gallery is looking so creative and absolutely fabulous......

This is my card.....

Stamping, Ombre technique using oxides and distress inks ....
and my choice is Heat Embossing and Die Cutting.
I started with using my new Colorful Life Marvellous Rectangles Masks
and blended Sage Green Oxides and Distress Inks for the Ombre effect.
Using a foliage stamp on the background and reversing the Ombre colour.
The gorgeous flowing leaf stamp was stamped and heat embossed in gold.
Using bleach to take off the colour within the leaves inside the rectangle
and then water colouring the leaves outside in the sage green.
The sentiment has been triple heat embossed in gold and I gentle splattered some water.
I liked the flow of the card from the right to left
and finished this movement off with the die cut circle........

We have the very talented Bobby from Bits and Pieces as our guest designer this month and you can find more inspiration from our fabulous design team over on the CAS Mix Up Blog.....
Come and join in the fun challenge.
I am so looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations in the gallery x.

Spring Blossom.....

I had a fun day stamping, being creative and catching up with blogs....

This is my Card......

Everything has been stamped on today's card.
I used distress inks and oxides, zigs and pencils to colour with.
The falling blossoms came about with a blob of ink on the outside of the wreath.
Don't you just love that at the end of a project?....
A little closer photo of some of the details....
I have used Card-io stamps for the wreath and a Paprtartsy sentiment set by Alison Bomber.
There are lots of little stamps for the branches so you can make the wreath any size
and shape you want....
Still hoping for Summer to arrive, so it still feels like Spring....
I hope you all have had a lovely weekend, which has included some crafting?
Challenges I would love to enter....
Watercooler Wednesday - Karen's Feminine anything goes challenge
Penny Black and More - Blooms, Butterflies and bugs with stamping being the focal point
Time Out #137 - Nature I have gone with the one layer twist.....

CAS Mix Up June Challenge

I am delighted to be hosting this month's fun challenge at The CAS Mix Up.
I have chosen Ombre....
There are lots of different ways to do this technique
and lots of inspiration over on the blog from the fabulous design team and
our very talented guest designer Bobby from Bits and Pieces Designs........

This is My Card..........

Ombre Technique using Lindy Magical Powders,
Die cutting, Double Heat Embossing, and Stamping.
The Ombre effect was achieved by activating The Lindy Powders with  water
and letting them mix together.
After they had dried I added some more on the bottom to achieve the water line.
The die cut foliage has been double heat embossed with silver.
Finishing off with stamping the sentiment, mica flakes and perfect pearls.
I made my card a Birthday card to join in the
Less is more was my starting point for the design,
as the challenge requires us to use less than a third of your card to be embossed,
which led onto a tall and narrow card.

I am looking forward to seeing your fabulous creations in the gallery....Have fun x
