Love and Hugs....

I have been away on a very relaxing holiday.........
I wanted to share this with you because when I was away I managed
to keep on top of commenting, which I love,
even though I had very slow, frustrating and very intermittent internet.
I was so pleased with myself......
Since I've got back I am playing catch up!!
That's because there's the washing, ironing, shopping etc to be done!!

So here's today's card.....

I was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this sketch for the layout.
I rotated and did a horizontal card.
I masked and stamped the individual flower stamps
and lightly washed the background ones in grey.
Using my Zigs I water coloured the main flower and also hand embellished with a gold pen.
Finishing off with die cut frames, stamping the sentiment in grey
and heat embossing the butterfly in white.

Whilst I was away my dear blog friend Nancy helped me out
and I would like to say again, a Big Thank you for your time and thoughtfulness....x.

Challenges I would love to enter.....
Simon Says Stamptember - Using Altenew Products
I used three different Altenew Stamp sets for my card....
Craft Stamper - Take It Make It Challenge - Anything goes
Watercooler Wednesday Challenge - Marsha's Feminine ...Anything Goes
Delighted to have been hi-lighted as a Watercooler Rocker with my card....Thank you x
Although the girls are on holiday the fun keeps going ....

Glad you had a very nice time relaxing on your vacation! Your card is so pretty with the images! I love how you've framed the one colored flower like that and it's a perfect take on that sketch too! Thanks for sharing and welcome back! HUGS

It's such a pretty floral image, and what a lovely way to showcase it with the spotlight technique and your fab coloring. I like the bright orange with the subtle gray of the outline flowers. The gold details made it really sparkle. Good luck with the house chores waiting on you. Hope you can relax after you catch up from your relaxing vacation!!! TFS & Hugs

Stunning card, I love the design.

Glad you had a relaxing holiday and well done on keeping up with your commenting. I arrived home yesterday from a holiday and I failed miserably to keep up with commenting while I was away. Trying to catch up now. xx

Gorgeous, creative use of the sketch, Mac! Beautiful coloring & I love the gold pen details! Glad you had a nice time away, but you're kinda crazy to keep commenting while you're on vacation--haha! Seriously, your sweet words always make my day!

What a gorgeous card! I've always loved the spotlight technique and you've really used it to full advantage with this beautifully coloured flower. Love the die-cut square outline inside the rectangle. You may be swamped with your "catch up" but you clearly don't have to catch up on inspiration. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

I'm so happy you had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. Getting ready to go and all the things to be done when you get home make it all worthwhile when it's a great trip. This card is stunning. I love the soft grey background flowers and the bright orange together. Both frames make the design so unique.

Love the way you have the grey flowers in the background and then the brightly coloured one. The double frames add fabulous texture and the sweet butterfly adds some whimsy. So glad you had a relaxing holiday - something we all need. Good for you for keeping up with your commenting while away!

Wow Mac, I'm impressed that you were away and kept up with commenting! Not sure I could do that. lol Yes, always a lot to tend once back home. This card is just stunning and I bet looks even more stunning in person. I love the grey theme and then the pop of color, so beautiful. I also love how you framed it out with those frames, so unique, so clever, so beautiful. Hugs, Brenda

Wow, this is gorgeous, Mac. Wonderful masking. The gray flowers in the background really makes the colored one stand out. I struggle with orange and green, but you made it look so elegant. Superb take on the sketch. xx

What a fabulous design Mac, the frames really trick the eye into thinking it is more dimensional than it truly is. That flower is beautiful.
Hope you had a lovely holiday, I always feel like I need another after i've dealt with the washing and ironing i've brought back.
Hugs Tracey xx

Sounds like you had a great holiday Mac and like you I do like to keep up with the commenting whilst I am away, if I can. I love this beautiful card and the spotlighted flower in those pretty colours is perfect and a great idea with the double frame, also the other flowers and the sweet butterfly works so well just with the grey wash. Love that bit of gold on the flower too. x

You didn't say where you went for that relaxing holiday M!!!
You sure came back with amazing mojo. This card is simply stunning. Fantabulous take on that sketch. Something I find hard. The background flowers are perfect making our eyes go directly to that gorgeous flower in those frames. Nice touch with the butterfly grounding the whole scene beautifully. Love & Hugs to you.

Sounds like you had a lovely break... Why is it that we have so much to do when we get back? It kind of counteracts the holiday.
Stunning card Mac... I love the design and the soft coloured stamping with that one bold flower... Beautiful!
