Smile.....

Here's today's cards...

Yes ....two cards on the same blog post for the Twofer Challenge.
Use the same die or stamp and make two cards for two different occasions....
The theme is Hearts.
I have used the same die cut heart
and made two very different cards for two different occasions....
Please scroll down to see the shine on the Love card....
The Smile Card has the hidden heart die.
The flowers have been stamped, using The Ton flower stamp,
heat embossed with gold and water coloured.
The leaves have been coloured with pencils.
I have also used a stencil and gold embossing paste, splats and a die cut sentiment.
I am enjoying using coloured card stock for the background.
The Love card....
For the heart die I have used Inka Gold, blobs of Inka and gloss varnish.
I have stamped and heat embossed in gold on the background,
using a mixed media stamp.
The swirl flourish has been die cut out of cork and the edges hi-lighted in gold.
I used thick cork, which gave a great texture and dimension.
The delicate Love sentiment has been die cut and layered.
This photo also shows the shine and texture of the die cut heart.....
I really enjoyed making the two cards.
Thank you so much for finding time to stop by,
I really do appreciate it....

A BIG WOW! I love the technique on the fab #1 heart, with the 'hidden' element. Those gold embossed flowers, all the stenciling, paste and spatters, just a WOW all round. And #2 is equally Wow...Loved your way with the cork flourish. Both are just so elegant and beautiful, and certainly a splendid use of same elements creating such different looks (for 2 occasions too!). Anytime I use products and you would like to ask for better directions, feel free to email & I'll try to explain better than I do on the post. I'm trying to not be so wordy in explaining what I've done! TFS & Hugs

I could just stare at these two cards and not take it all in! Your gorgeous red flowers on the grey cs is striking enough, but then you go and add the die cut heart! That shine and texture between the heart and the flourish on your love card is so dynamic! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

WOW, Mac! Way to rock all these challenges! Love those gorgeous red flowers and how you've "hidden" the heart among them! Your second heart has so much dimension and texture and looks so pretty in the cork frame! The bits of gold in the background of both cards adds adds richness and glamour!

These are both fabulous. Such Lovely interpretations of Darnell's challenge. Both of the cards have the Wow factor. Hugs Mrs A.

Gorgeous! Incredible texture on that heart! That must have been quite thick cork to be able to cut such a delicate die - I had to glue my cork to cardstock in order to get the die cut frame I used on my card - when I die cut the thin cork on its own, it tore.

Beautiful colours in the heart, great highlighting on the cork flourish, and nice detail with the gold stamping behind everything.

Your other card is lovely too, with the stenciling and the vibrant colouring of the flowers.

Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Mix Up and CAS Watercolour.

You do amazing things with metallics - I've noticed that before. These two cards are very different and both so beautiful. If I had to pick out one oustanding element, it would be the way you've 'hidden' the heart among the flowers - I love that look.

Mac, these are again so out-of-this world that I am having trouble even forming the proper adjectives because your designs are (as I always say) so far outside the realm of my simple CAS cards! You have created spectacular works of golden textured card art and you done a remarkable job of making the work for all of these challenges!! Thank you so much for playing along in Twofer Card Challenge #2!! Hugs, Darnell
