Flourish

I've been away for the festive period and although I had a fabulous time
I missed my crafting and getting messy.
Here's to a Healthy and Happy 2016!

I have been inspired by several challenges to make this card.
After masking off the square I blended several colours of chalk inks.
I popped a heart stencil on top and added more ink.
I die cut a flourish die, to use as a stencil, as I wanted a one layer card.
I have used white embossing paste through the stencil.
The butterfly is stamped and embossed with white EP, as is the Dream sentiment.

What I have learnt recently, around blogland is that CAS cards can be Mixed Media too.
Although my card is on one layer, no embellishments, CAS in design,
I have used several different mediums and techniques...mixed media x

I would like to enter the card into the following challenges.......

The use of the butterfly flying and the Dream Sentiment

It's lovely to see you back again with such a gorgeous card to start off the year. I love the delicate green as a base for the white embossing and embossing paste, it looks so clean and fresh. I've never used embossing paste myself but it's something the I definitely need to try as it does give superb results. Love the butterfly and flourish as these are two of my favourite combinations. I wish you all the very best for 2016 and I look forward to seeing more of your wonderful artwork. x

This is super and a clever way of keeping to one layer although you have exceeded our maximum number of challenges which may be combined this time! (Our max is 5)
Thanks so much

Hello and welcome to my Butterfly challenge. Pleased to see you fluttering by. This is a gorgeous one layer card. I always struggle with one layer. (Nearly maade it on my inspiration card but then had a mishap and had to cover up with a butterfly on top). I like how you have die cut the swirl and then used the negative as your stencil. (Added bonus there of having the die cut swirl to use on another project). Love the cool mint colour and how you have made the background. The butterfly just adds that last finish to the card. Hugs Mrs A.
