Stencilled Blue Flower......

Having fun with a Stencil, pigment powders and my glue gun.......
This is the card I made....
I started by using Brusho's and Lindy's sprinkled through a stencil and spraying with water.
After quickly removing the stencil and letting it dry I stamped a text stamp.
Using platinum acrylic paint I painted around the white spaces left by the stencil,
as I knew when I used my glue gun I would be wobbly......
You can see in this photo what I mean about painting with the acrylic platinum paint before
and then after the glue gun..........

After using my glue gun and letting it dry I used the platinum acrylic paint again to paint over it.
I have used perfect pearls to do this technique before but never my 'unused' glue gun.
The glue dried within 60 seconds, which was a bonus........
unless you had planned to use mica powders!!!!
There are pluses and minuses to using this technique
but I so enjoyed using my uncontrollable glue gun for the first time!
I finished off with die cutting and heat embossing the sentiment.

I wanted to say a BIG Thank you to the friendly and helpful bloggers
who helped with my recent email notifications problems....
The bottom line being .......start again my end and your end....
You are all so kind....Thank you x

I used the blues to join in The Stamplorations CAS Challenge,
with the optional colour twist of using Cerulean.....
I was hoping with using the Brusho and Lindy's that I have used the colour.....

Challenges I would love to enter...
Although I use techniques I am mindful my card is CAS and I have kept a lot of 'White' space....
Stamplorations - Mixed Media Challenge - Anything goes but you must use a stencil
I have used a Stamplorations  Stencil and although a CAS card I have mixed the medias...

Guest Designer at The Male Room ......

I am thrilled to be The Guest Designer over at The Male Room after my recent win.
Thank you so much.....
The Challenge is Anything goes with the Optional Twist of No Designer Paper.

Here is My Card......

I sprinkled on One Lindy Powder over the rock stencil and sprayed with water...
Removing the stencil quickly to produce the multi coloured rocks.
I used a die cut and added dimension using foam behind it.
The main background has stamping and heat embossing on it and stencilling and white paste.
A couple more die cuts to add dimension and further interest to finish.
I thought the fun sentiment was perfect for my rock stencil masculine card.

I am so looking forward to seeing your creations in The Male Room Challenge gallery.

As I have used Powders and a stencil I will be playing along at The CAS Stencil Challenge
and because of The Dimension I will also be playing along at The CAS Mix Up Challenge.

Thank you to Arlene from Sundaystampers Papercrafts for being our guest designer this month.
The gallery is looking fabulous.....

Here is My Card.......

Dimensional Die Cutting, Water colouring, Stencil and Stamping.
I used the negative die cut flowers for stencilling, with glitter embossing paste as my starting point.
I then layered up the die cuts using the water coloured fall outs.
Then I had fun with different mediums and paints to add more dimension.
I have used a stencil and embossing paste on the left hand side of the card
and finished off with die cutting and stamping the sentiments.

I had fun mixing the medias and adding the texture.
I am so looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful creations in the gallery.

Thrilled.....

I am thrilled and delighted to be the Guest Designer over at The AAA CAS Challenge,
after winning their three for something challenge with this Card.........
The Challenge this fortnight is a CAS Card with One Layer
with the Optional Twist of Love....

This is My Card....

I have used the die cut as a stencil to keep it a One Layer card.
I scraped through the stencil with several different colours of pinks of embossing paste.
Lindy Magicals have been used to colour the paste and
the small hearts have glossy accents on them.
I wanted to hi-light the large hearts further so I popped on another layer of paste
and used my finger to get extra texture.......
Finishing off with stamping the tiny sentiment in black.

Thank you so much for the opportunity of guest designing with you for this fun challenge.
Challenges I would love to enter.....
Stamplorations - Love themed blog hop
Uniko Challenge - Anything goes with the optional twist of Love

CAS Mix Up February Challenge

The CAS Mix Up Challenge for February is Dimensional Die cuts ......
Hosted by the friendly and creative Hideko...
Our fabulous guest designer this month is......Arlene from Sundaystamper Papercrafts
There are videos links on the blog for further inspiration....
Pop across and see Arlene's and the wonderful Design Team cards.

Here is My Card.....

I have used Dimensional Die cuts, Stamping and my choice is stencilling and embossing paste.
I started with stamping the text heart in black.
I popped black embossing paste through a stencil and heat embossed a couple of
Lindy Embossing powders. The effect is quite different on Black Paste.
The three die cuts have been layered several times and I used the same
Lindy embossing powders, heating and layering several times too.
The effect is really quite eye catching and super shiny.
The die cut heart had the same treatment and also a layer of thick gloss.
The edging on the left is heat embossed over black card.
I popped on this photo to show the vast difference of the effect of the Lindys...
depending on light etc.
I finished off with a gold acrylic paint around some of the edges.
This card is for my DH and the flower head, which I thought looked like a thistle
is a nod to him being Scottish and hence the colour of the purple as my inspiration.

I don't have a lot of the Lindy Embossing Powders but they give the same amazing
colour variations and effects as the wonderful Sprays and Magicals.
I had a lot of fun making this card and thank you Hideko for the fun challenge.
Thank you for finding time to stop by and I am looking forward to seeing
your fabulous creations in the gallery.
