Tired Bear......

I have been inspired by two challenges to make this card.
I stamped the bear in black ink onto linen card.
I embossed/gilded the edges with gold embossing powder.
The crown has been gold embossed and mica added with a brush.
I tried to use gilding flakes but the crown was too small to make it look effective.
I have gilded underneath the bear with White Frantage shabby embossing enamel.
I do so love Frantage enamels, they give texture and 'surprise' results.
I am entering the card into the following challenges.....
CAS card with gilding
CAS card using Gold, Mica and Frantage

Guest Designer.......

I am very flattered and excited to be asked to be The Guest Designer at Cardz4guyz ,
for the month of November.
I jumped at the chance as I enjoy their challenges and love making Male cards.
What a kind and wonderful opportunity....Thank you.

I have always been creative and love nothing more than being in my craft room designing,
crafting and getting messy.
What I enjoy mostly is learning and trying out new techniques.
The Blog world is where I get most of my inspiration, from very generous,
friendly and very creative crafters.....Thank you x

The Theme this week at Cardz4guyz is ....... Hope U Feel Better Soon
This is my card.....
The card has been embossed in Brown ink and heat set with clear EP for the main card
and the edges sponged with black distress ink.

I used white embossing paste through a mini square stencil, onto kraft card for the centre piece.
The edges have been heat set with Frantage embossing powders, which I love and give
a 'rugged', 'molten' unpredictable and glorious shiny finish.
The sentiment has been die cut from individual letters
and heat embossed with clear EP, twice.
Very time consuming but well worth it to get the shine.
There are two layers of the sentiment to give some height and texture to the card.
The large 'U' has been die cut several times and numerous layers
of frantage to get the look I was after.
The centre piece and the 'U' are mounted onto foam to add dimension.
I loved doing the card, used a few techniques and had fun along the way x

I am entering the card into
The Mixed Media MC Challenge-Texture
There's quite a bit of texture on this card and I hope it comes out in the photos?
