Masculine Tag....

I have made a tag today.......
Please let me apologize for the tag balanced on my plant......
I just couldn't get the photo I wanted!
I used a re-cycled tag from an on line delivery that I received.
I sprayed a few different matt colours onto the tag.
Once it was dry I stamped the thistle, flowers and the gentleman with plum archival ink.
I used bleach on the gents face, shirt and cuffs to lift the colour.

The white in the top left has been done with a stencil and bleach.
Another stencil was put on top and black dots added with black embossing paste.
I used the same dots stencil in the bottom right and gold embossing paste.
The splats have been done with black and gold paints.
The edge has been stamped using a mixed media stamp
and black archival ink as a border around the tag.

I finished by stamping the the two sentiments, hi-lighting with a white pen
and a cocktail stick with gold heat embossing on the edge,
tucked into the scrunched black ribbon.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Congratulations.....

Inspired today to make a CAS card......
I started by stamping the flower and heat embossing with white.
I made a mask so that I could stamp the black stripes.
I coloured in the flowers with a few colours using Zig pens and water.
The green around the flowers is also Zig pens and water.
I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto black card
and raised it a little using foam pads.
I am still playing with my Zigs and enjoying them x
Thank you for finding time to stop by....

Flower Cupcake.....

The inspiration for today's card
Although you don't have to use a cupcake...
It was the first thing I saw and thought they where so pretty.
The delicate colours also caught my eye.
This is my card....
The background has been water coloured using inks and acetate.
I popped on a flower stencil and spread clear embossing  paste over it to add some shine
and detail without detracting from the delicate colours.
I wanted the die cut tag to be matt so I used white gesso through the stencil this time.
It just adds a subtle detail.
The cupcake was stamped, die cut and heat embossed in silver and white puff paint.
I coloured the small roses, added some wink of stella and popped them onto the cupcake.
I wanted the background and the cupcake to shine against the matt tag.
I finished off with a  Love sentiment stencil, some white opaque embossing paste,
a hint of colour and wink of stella.
Thank you so much for finding time to stop by.

Bonjour!

Bonjour Mon Cheri.........
I was inspired by Curtain Call Inspiration challenge to make today's card.
I loved the glossy Cherry and the pale blue sugar crumbs...
This is my take on the Challenge.....
I stamped the cute cherry's, masked one of them and used a stencil to blend some pale blue ink.
I popped on some clear embossing paste and whilst wet added clear micro beads.
I thought this looked like the sugar crumbs in the photo.
Once the sugar crumbs dried I coloured in the cherry's and added glossy accents.
I added some glaze to the leaves and under the cherry's to ground them and a couple more splats.
I finished off with freehand stitches around the edges, first in black then in white to soften it.
I also made another card....
I was inspired by AAA Cards and Happy Little Stampers Die cutting challenge
to do this card with a die cut tag.
Same techniques as the first but die cut a tag and popped it onto the card.
I'm not sure the splat should have come out of his head!!!
I had fun with these cards...
Thanks for stopping by.

Brother-In-Law

Today's card...along with a few challenges was inspired by my Brother-In Law.....
Here is my card.....
The background has been sprayed with mica sprays for glorious and pretty shine.
I stamped the red phone box with red archival ink and gave it a coat of glossy accents,
after colouring it in with paints..
The chevron and sentiment have been stamped with blue archival ink
and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.
This is the inside of my card...
I have popped on the name of my Brother-In-Law Jim after stamping onto craft card.
The card is for Jim because he seems to only get in touch using texting and the I phone...
We keep telling him, whilst sitting in our house our I phone is off and to use the land line!!!!
There seems to be a healthy battle going on about this,
so I thought I would make him this card....
I hope he takes it in the spirit it is meant?

Happy Birthday......

Stamplorations is 3!!!
Happy Birthday.....
They are having a party and I'm joining in......
The first thing I noticed with the image was the balloons and their colours....
This is my card....
I sprayed with the blue and green colours from the balloons with Lindy sprays with Mica in them.
Of course they are not going to show up but they produce the prettiest of shimmer.
I stamped the row of cupcakes in black ink and then the numbers stamp on top.
The numbers have been heat embossed in white and the number 3 in gold.
I stamped a cherry, inspired by the photo, on top of the cupcakes
and added glossy accents.... also to the gold number 3.
To get the red heart shaped balloon in I die cut a heart and blended the edges.
I finished off with some water splats and stamping Happy Birthday three times.
I have had a fun, crafty and inky day.

Stencil with Texture Paste

I was inspired by Papertrey Ink
Make It Monday...Stenciling with Texture Paste.

I don't have a Papertrey ink stencil and as the challenge involved using a stencil
I improvised so that I could still use their products.....

I usually colour my texture/embossing paste first but was keen to try this new method....to me.
This technique involved leaving the stencil on after using the paste and colouring it whilst wet.
This is my card............

I used one of their leaf dies as a stencil and cut out a flower image...

I cut out the line die leaf, sprayed with removable glue and popped them into the flower image.
I popped on opaque embossing paste and hoped that it wouldn't stick everything down.
Ashley used ink re-fillers but I used sprays as I don't have re-filler inks.
I dripped some out into a tray.
I had fun painting the colours on and as the paste was still wet it changed the texture of it,
which I really liked. Normally it is smooth and I paint it dry.
I very carefully peeled off the card stencil and to my amazement it didn't stick
and came up really well.
I cut out some gold line leaves with the die and when the paste was dry
glued them over the painted embossing paste.
I finished by die cutting several layers and colours for the sentiment
and splattering with gold and black.
What was the difference with painting on wet paste............
I got a fabulous texture, like home made paper, the colours blended really well
and the paint did not bleed underneath.
I will definitely be doing this technique again.
Thank you so much Ashley for the inspiration.
Loved joining in the challenge.
