Dotty Foiling........

Today's card.......
I had a fun and fiddly time doing this card.......
I started by foiling CS with four different colours of foil.
The foiled card was cut using the dot cover plate die.
I die cut another one out of black CS and
then spent a little while popping them in to give an in-laid effect.
I also popped on a few black dots onto the black sentiment strip.
The Hello sentiment has been die cut and popped up onto foam.
The gold surround has also been foiled using double sided tape.
I continued to have fun and now have a few backgrounds at the ready!

I am enjoying participating in the MFT Camp Create
and today's challenge for me was 'Foiling'...
I choose the colours to participate in The Male Room colour challenge
I have used Purple as my other colour because the gold and black are neutrals.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Sweet on You....

Here's today's card .......
I was inspired by a few challenges to make this card.
I used stenciling, embossing paste, Inka Gold, die cutting, heat embossing, glossy accents,
spray paints with mica, distress inks, foiling with glue, stamping, splats and paints.
The photos don't show all the techniques...but they are there.
A messy and fun day today.

I Love You Tons

I have been trying to update my blog today with apps + gadgets .......
The followers ...... join this site gadget and the Google+ followers gadget.
It's taken me a very long time, first to find out how to pop them on
and secondly the confidence to actually put them on x
Update......I was lucky enough to have been chosen as a Favourite at Happy Little Stampers-
Thank you so very much x
Meanwhile I have today's card ...........
I CASed this card over at Happy Little Stampers Challenge-Case the Card
by Shona Chambers
I was inspired by the cute elephant, the circle in the middle and the stamping on the background.
This is my card .........

I masked off the centre with a circle die cut.
I used several shades of pink inks to stamp circles, using the Mix Mash stamps from HLS
on the background of the card.
I also stamped, using glue and foil in silver for the small line circles.
The Cute Elephant stamp from Clearly Besotted was stamped in the centre and lightly coloured.
The sentiment has been stamped in grey ink.
Glue and silver foiling was randomly popped under the elephants
and at the top and bottom of the card.
I finished off by stamping some small pink hearts.
I had fun with this one x

Happy

Inspired today by a Spotlight Project from Stamplorations...
Cornelia's Burning Question: Are You Foiling Yet?
Here is her card.......
Cornelia used Rolls of Foil, ordinary glue and a stamp for her card.....

I have used Mega Flakes/Mica Flakes many times before, with special glue but
I have quite a few rolls of foil that I have never used.
I wanted to try out these foils and to try ordinary glue as well.
Some of my foils also said they required a heat machine or heat tool.

I thought I would try some ideas out.
This is my take and inspiration from her card.....
I wanted to try using glue and a stencil and not a stamp.
Some glues where too runny and leaked under the stencil and some glues dried too quickly.
Eventually, an old thick glue worked and I got all my foils to work,
even the ones that required heat to activate them.

Yes, you can use the mega flakes and special glue which stays tacky,
(this will always be a favourite of mine), or heat embossing to get pretty much the same effect but....
This is another idea to use up glue and foils already in your stash, which I thought wouldn't work.
The difference, I thought was by using a continuous sheet of foil you got a slightly
different look than using the flakes. I found my stencil washed up easily too.

Thanks to Cornelia and her spotlight project that encouraged me to try this out, so thank you.
The sentiment on my card is stamped and heat embossed with gold glitter embossing powder.
I was fussing over which sentiment to use when Mr Posty delivered a parcel from America,
with my new stamps and stencils in it, so I used the Big Greetings Stamp...Happy....
Another play day today...learning all the time x
