What if I Fall?

Today's card has been inspired by Loll over at
Here is a video link to The Splash Water Colouring Technique...
This technique would be great for backgrounds
but I wanted to try it in a different way.
As soon as I saw, a new to me technique, I'm in....
I started by cutting a stencil with a die cut
and then had fun splashing my distress inks,
drying in between, which the masking paper did not like and kept creeping up...

I popped the fairy mask on and hi-lighted the wings firstly with gold acrylic paint.
I then spread some gold  stickles onto my mat
and using a paintbrush hi-lighted further.
I always forget to use the stickles this way.
I stamped the crackle effect at the bottom of the card and heat embossed in gold,
finishing with stamping the sentiment in black first and then gold on top.

I have had this sentiment a little while and not used it
but when I got this new die, I thought they went so well together....
I was quite surprised that I only had some seepage,
especially with the masking paper creeping up.

I had fun with this technique and thank you Loll for the inspiration to give it a try.

SMILE.......

Trying to watercolour ..........
I was experimenting with using a couple of leaf stamps,
colouring them with several different colours of distress markers
and then lightly spraying with water before stamping...
To finish I hi-lighted with a white pen, glossy accents over the
die cut layered sentiment and  also for the water droplets.
This technique is very new to me......
I shall keep practising because it was fun to do......
Thank goodness for the Misti!

Chill.......

Hope all is well with you?
It's been awhile but here is today's card....
I love joining in the CAS Watercolour Challenge and their theme this month is...
It's not that I have not been thinking what to do all month but where does time go?
I was inspired by the colours over at Inspired By All The Little Things....
The glorious copper and the beautiful aqua
I needed a Masculine Birthday card....
I have used Brusho's for the background as my watercolour.
I die cut the Man silhouette to use as a stencil.
I mixed translucent paste with dark pigment powders to pop through the stencil.
As they where Lindy powders and often contain 'other' colours
it looks like the man has a tie, squiffy around his neck!

The stencil work on the left has been done with coloured paste,
copper paste and copper embossing powder.
I finished off with stamping and heat embossing the sentiment in copper.
I enjoyed the using the techniques on this card
and challenging myself with the two challenges.
Thank you so much for finding time to stop by....

CAS Watercolour Reminder Post........

Still smiling and still thrilled to be the Guest Designer this month
at The CAS Watercolour May Challenge,
which is Flowers.
So many beautiful entries in the gallery....
If you've time please pop across and take a look x
This is my card for the CAS Watercolour May Reminder post.....
The peony flowers have been stamped individually, masked
and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.
The Hydrangeas and leaves have also been stamped and masked individually,
with grey and green inks to form the posy of flowers.
The Water colouring has been done with zigs and Gansai Tambi paints.
The sentiment has been die cut, hi-lighted in pink and green
and popped up for dimension.
I finished with die cutting the image, popping it into a frame
and splattering with white and gold acrylic paint.

When I did this card.....the stamp was one stamp,
whereas this card was made with a several stamps and lots of masking.
Learning all the time and loving it!

I hope you find time to join in this fun and friendly challenge
and I thank you once again for the kind invite x

Guest Designer CAS Watercolour....

Thrilled to be invited to be the Guest Designer
at the
CAS Watercolour Challenge this month....
Lots of scope for the theme this month.........
They have an amazing and friendly design team
and the most fabulous inspirational creations...

Here is my card.....
I started with stamping and heat embossing the circle stamp three times.
The circles have been water coloured using the wet on wet technique
and several different colours of Distress Inks.

I stamped the circles again, cut them out
and used them as masks to stamp the flowers.
The flowers have been coloured using distress inks, zigs
and watered down acrylic inks.
I splattered some water and lifted some of the colour
and also splattered colours of pink and green.
The tiny script has been stamped with archival green ink
and a little embellishing with a white pen to finish.

I hope you find time to join in this fun and friendly challenge this month.
I am absolutely delighted and thrilled to be guesting this month
and I thank you once again for the opportunity xx

Take Flight......

Let Your Dreams Take Flight.....
Here is today's card.....
The flowers and smaller dragonfly's have been stamped and water coloured.
The larger dragonfly has been die cut and inlaid back into the card.
CAS Mix Up challenge this month is stamping and Inlaid Die Cutting.
I have popped on wink of stella for a little bit of bling and
on the bottom right dragonfly some glossy accents.
The sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed.
I finished with hand embellishing, using a black pen and
water droplets of glossy accents (that look a little yellowy in the photo!).
Learning all the time with water colouring
and enjoyed how the colours blended together.
I used Distress ink pads and markers.
There where numerous attempts using different colours
and different card stock before I got there!

I have a friend's daughter leaving home for the first time, with a new job,
so this card will be heading her way x
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.

Birthday Wishes.....

I bought this stamp ages ago and was inspired by a couple of challenges
to actually use it!
This is my card.....

I have used the sketch and the photo for my inspiration
from The Fusion Challenge...
I love to join in at.....
The CAS Watercolour Challenge and used the colours of Green and Pink...
My choice of medium is Water colouring... and Zigs
The pretty flower stamp has been stamped and embossed in white.
I then played with the zigs to colour it in.
I wanted a delicate sentiment to complement the image,
which took an ordinate amount of time to decide and to execute!
I finished off the card with delicate splats
and layering onto grey card to represent the grey on the car in the photo.

I am glad, that at last I have used this pretty flower stamp
and very much enjoyed the process of making this card.

Thank you so much for finding time to stop by my blog.....
