Pink Tulips.....

Thinking about Spring with Today's Card......

Spring has Sprung!
Thrilled to have been chosen as The Headliner with my Card....Thank you so much x
The tulips have been stamped and masked and heat embossed in white.
The water colouring has been done with several colours of Lindy Magical powders.
The 'Easter' sentiment has been die cut and popped up on one layer,
as not to detract from the tulips.
Perhaps a little too hidden!

Finishing off with a die cut frame.
The card was so relaxing to do and here's to Spring coming soon.....

Thank you for stopping by...

What if I Fall?

Today's card has been inspired by Loll over at
Here is a video link to The Splash Water Colouring Technique...
This technique would be great for backgrounds
but I wanted to try it in a different way.
As soon as I saw, a new to me technique, I'm in....
I started by cutting a stencil with a die cut
and then had fun splashing my distress inks,
drying in between, which the masking paper did not like and kept creeping up...

I popped the fairy mask on and hi-lighted the wings firstly with gold acrylic paint.
I then spread some gold  stickles onto my mat
and using a paintbrush hi-lighted further.
I always forget to use the stickles this way.
I stamped the crackle effect at the bottom of the card and heat embossed in gold,
finishing with stamping the sentiment in black first and then gold on top.

I have had this sentiment a little while and not used it
but when I got this new die, I thought they went so well together....
I was quite surprised that I only had some seepage,
especially with the masking paper creeping up.

I had fun with this technique and thank you Loll for the inspiration to give it a try.

One Layer Fun.....

I have been having fun making One Layer Cards,
using a die cut as a mask and then as a stamp.
I started by making two master boards that I cut up into four cards.

The flower die has been cut out of masking paper to use as a mask.
I also die cut the flower out of foam and made a stamp,
which was heat embossed in white to use as a resist.
The background has also been stamped with some smaller stamps
and embellished with white and black pens.

The boards where sprayed with several sprays,
mostly containing mica for that added shine.

Further interest has been added with stamping
the background text with silver paint.
I finished off with stamping individual sentiments
and popping on silver paint around the edges.
I enjoyed using the die cut as a mask and as a stamp
and also liked the slightly different looks to the both techniques.
I also enjoyed using some smaller stamps, which I often forget about.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.

Grey, Pink and Copper....

I was playing with different colour combinations....
This is my card....

The inspiration for my card came from the die cut leaf shapes that looked liked hearts.
The leafs have been die cut and foiled in copper
and some over painted with metallic paints.

The flowers have been stamped and fussy cut.
I have used zig water-colours, copper heat embossing, metallic paints
and frantage on them.

The heart shape has been die cut and used as a mask.
I have used heat embossing, paint and ink splats in several different colours
to achieve the effect around the heart.

The card has been matted and layered and edged with heat embossing
and metallic paint.

Concord & 9th has a Love challenge this month so I will be linking up my project.
I have used two different Concord & 9th die cut sets and wildflower stamp set.

I enjoyed using different colour combinations and had fun.
Thank you for stopping by...

XOXOXO.....

Happy Valentines Day x
Here is today's card.....
I started with die cutting the bird and the branch from masking sticky paper.
I applied the mask and also used masking fluid to extend the branch.

I used Zigs for the water coloured background.
The sentiment has been stamped with grey ink and
the top left enhanced with grey zigs and pearlescent.

I was inspired by the PaperArtsy Challenge - Masks
and this glorious creation.....
My colour inspiration is from Rubber Dance - Pink/Green/Grey
And
My style of CAS with a Love theme from CAS Watercolour Challenge
Another fun day.
Trying my best and learning all the time with water colouring
and masking techniques.

Love is in The Air..

Today's card...
Thank you so much for the shout out at City Crafters for my card x
I started by roughly tearing a hole in a piece of paper to use as a mask.
The text was then stamped into the hole to give me a rough edge.
The ink pen was stamped over it, embossed and the sentiment added.
I wanted it to look like one collage stamp.

The cute envelope was die cut.
The little hearts where cut from left overs, from a previous card
using the foam marbling technique.
I finished with a little doodling, splats and some glossy accents.
After splatting I thought it looked sort of like a heart
so helped it along by adding white splats!

City Crafter Challenge this week is S.W.A.L.K...
Use an envelope or letter....
I of course read it wrong and put on SWAK....
As the challenge was my starting point and inspiration for today's card
I am hoping you will chuckle at this? x

Congratulations.....

I have been having fun playing with Alcohol Inks....
This is my card......
I started with die cutting a circle, to use as a mask
and then stamping around it using splat stamps,
in a couple of shades of light grey.
I also did free hand splats with silver metallic paint...which I loved.

The gown has been stamped onto one of my Alcohol ink backgrounds
 and fussy cut.
I normally don't do fussy cutting, as I like to work out how to do it
as one layer but with the inks I was stuck.
The gorgeous stamp, which I've not used before,
is from The Ton and also includes the delicate lace stamp,
which goes at the bottom of the dress
but I stamped it just inside the circle as if it was a hanging flower/vine.
I wanted to show the gorgeous effect of the inks in this photo.
Once I started I couldn't stop and have lots now for future projects.
I wanted to show how fabulous the gold ink is, in this photo.
I have used all Ranger Alcohol Inks but the gold is from Patina and is stunning.
It moves like liquid gold when you use the blending solution on it.
Karen D of Snippets was using Pinata Alcohol inks and of course I had to have some!

I finished with stamping the sentiment, also in the stamp set, the tiny flower
and silver washi tape down the side.
I actually made a flower from shrink plastic for her hair but it was still too big!

I loved playing with the alcohol inks.
The colours themselves re-acted differently, which surprised me
and of course on different glossy card, yupo etc.
Stained fingers and loved it!

Exotic......

Hello There......
Today's card is a CAS fun card.
The giraffe has been stamped and then masked so I could use a stencil
and blending with distress inks.
I thought the stencil from Stamplorations looked like a Giraffe.
The edges have been heat embossed with gold and copper.
I finished off with lightly colouring the Giraffe and stamping the sentiment.
Some smudgy bits but I guess that the Giraffe won't mind!
Thanks for stopping by....
