Twofer Challenge

The fun challenge over at Twofer this month is Bees....
This is where the inspiration took me....
Two different occasion cards using the same Die Cut 'BE' letters and not a Bee in site.....
I so enjoy joining in Darnell's Challenges but I like to be unconventional,
which you don't have to be, to join in and normally by the time I have thought of an idea
and executed it I have missed the deadline.....NOT this month......
The eyes have been stamped with Visible Image stamps.
The eye shadow with water colours and the gold eye liner with liquid pearls.
Die Cut 'BE' sentiment has been done in foil, the black part of the sentiment
in clear embossing and the gold 'fabulous' triple embossed in gold.....
The stamped sentiment is by Stamplorations....
One colour of alcohol ink in slate on Yuppo for the background.
Lots of rubbing alcohol and swishing around.
Layering of the die cut sentiment and liquid chrome and clear nail varnish.
I had a tidy of my nail varnishes and thought I would give it a go....
Silver foil on the background to mop up the tacky parts.
Die cut leaves and a frantage little heart to finish.

I so enjoyed the challenge and had lots of fun 'playing' in my craft room.
The face card is for a friend, who has just been promoted....
Thank you so much for finding time to stop by ....I really do appreciate it x.
Challenges I would love to enter.....
Twofer Card Challenge - Bee's
With both cards

The BE Strong card.....
Just Us Girls - Colour Week

With My Face Card.....
Stamplorations - CAS challenge without the colour twist
Stamplorations - Never ending anything goes - The stamped sentiment is by Stamplorations

I love your unconventional cards for the Twofer challenge Mac, and this month is no exception! Your face card is wonderful and I'm loving the gold eyeliner!! Your 2nd card with the slate alcohol ink on the yupo paper is INCREDIBLE my friend!! I had to pick my jaw up off the floor several times while staring at this gorgeous card!! And I love how you didn't use a single "bee" on either card...great job thinking outside the box!! Lovely, lovely cards Mac! :0)

Oh yes, Mac. Your cards are really unconventional, but at the same time you inspire me so much!!! I love seeing your creations and I always learn something new, my dear friend. Liquid pearls for the eye liner is an excellent idea! Hugs, sweetie!

Fabulous Mac, you know I have that VI stamp and not used it much as didn't know how to use the eyes to the best, but what incentive this is...thanks.xx

WOW Mac totally amazing creations. The first card with the eyes is stunning, love the colours, wish I could do my eyes like that, and the second card is gorgeous, wonderful patterns made with the ink. The take on the Bee challenge is so imaginative with the use of Be as a word rather than a little bug, Kate x x

Oh my goodness, that is so unique and innovative! I never would have thought to interpret "bees" as the letter "b". You are so smart! Love both of the cards, especially the "be strong" one - love that blend of alcohol ink, foil, liquid chrome, and clear nail varnish. The little heart and leaves are the perfect embellishment.

WOW, Mac !! Your entrance to the Challenge Twofer will decapitate the other participants. Both cards are stunning. I love the first, you have created this woman's face so perfectly. I have to buy these stamps, somewhere I saw them ... And the second with this amazing background makes you can not stop looking at it. Stunning cards, Mac !!

WOW ! Absolutely stunning, Mac ! Not only in the designs of these two wonderful cards, but also in the way to interpret the Twofer challenge. Very creative and smart ! What a delicious card for your friend, love the contrast of the soft pink eye shadow, the gold eye liner and the black eyelashes. Fabulous ! And the monochrome card is also beautiful. Your AI background is wonderful and such a striking background for the bold sentiment. WOW, you totally rocked this challenge ! Thanks so much for the beautiful inspiration. xx

WHOA! Mac, these belong in a gallery for sure! My heart LOVES the encouragement found in both pieces of art - from the metallic, bold, marble/stone like gray tones in BE STRONG with life springing forth from the heart, and the beautiful BE Fabulous, with golden makeup to show that the eyes do reveal the pathway of the soul - and just a hint of pink to reveal femininity. GORGEOUS cards, Mac! hugs, de

If you weren't such a nice person I don't think I'd like you very much as it is so unfair that you have all this talent and I have hardly any - miniscule - teeny- mine is. Off to the corner to sulk..... xx

OMG! These twofers are incredible, Mac! I would have never though of taking "bee" as "be", to start with. And I wish you could do a make-up for me every morning like you did with the art supplies here. ;-P
The alcohol ink swished card is so dramatic and impactful, that is perfect for the sentiment. Love all the details - the liquid chrome, the nail varnish, the silver foil, and the frantage heart. Simply amazing!

That's a really clever take on the theme - your "BEs" are wonderful! The glam eye make-up is great fun, but I'm completely in love with the silver Yupo one - what extraordinarily beautiful effects you've created with the inks, chrome, nail varnish and foil - simply magical.

Well Mac you have made two cracking Twofers, and using the word 'be' would never have occurred to me so some great thinking outside the box. The face is such a strong image and love that sentiment with the highlighted words in gold and the shadow behind the 'BE', and then the second using alcohol ink in that gorgeous slate colour and the added silver highlights together with the silver foiled heart with the white foliage is stunning, and the use of an old clear nail varnish too, and love the partially silver sentiment to finish. x

I just can't stop looking at these two cards Mac... Incredible! Love the eyes ... so cleverly done and the alcohol ink design on the second card is a work of art!

Tracey@Hotchpotchcreations said...

Oh my these are both incredibly striking, you must know i'm instantly drawn to the eyes as a lover of faces and the human form but the techniques and pop of silver and gold give such a beautiful effect. You always bring such pleasing designs to the table. Amazing!!
Creative Hugs Tracey xx
P.S Sorry I have not been around again but i've been caring for my Mom and had visitors inbetween. Hard to juggle it all as well as online time, sadly something had to give x
